All timeshare companies are robbers. Stay in a boutique hotel.

Dec 23, 2019

A couple of years ago, my husband and I purchased a timeshare at hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Pedragal on the beach. I tried to cancel this timeshare within their grace period as per Mexican Law and they would not accept the one page document I sent certified by Federal Express for $50. Fed Ex tried over and over to deliver it to them for a couple of months and then finally succeeded. In the meantime they claim they never received it and this place is hounding us for payments. I used the address they gave me. I don't know if the Federal Express in Cabo San Lucas is being paid off by them to do this, or if the timeshare hotel intentionally gives the wrong address on their timeshare documents. Here in America that is a breach of contract. Anyway, I strongly urge all people not to buy a Mexican timeshare because these people play really dirty. I urge everyone here to look up what a breach of contract is and to tell the hotel and the bill collectors know that they are robbers and that they have broken the law. Not to mention, if the documents do not list an address, and the person talking to you has a business card with a cell phone number only and no business address listed on it, this is a seriously red flag to pay attention to.
