Buying two weeks at Lawai Beach Resort: no deedbacks, have questions

Jan 03, 2020

Am considering buying two weeks at Lawai Beach Resort, however the weeks specify that they cannot be deeded back to the resort. Both weeks would be on one deed. Need some input on: 1. What happens when we want to sell, say, in 40 years? Would we be better buying weeks that can be deeded back? Is deeding back a feasible option, or am I looking at needing to sale, when the time comes, anyway? 2. What happens when we aren’t able to use the resort anymore? Deed back, sale, or leave to my kids? Do they have to take it? 3. Is it better to buy two separate weeks on two different deeds?

Hi Lisa,

I can’t help you with your question but since I posted on your thread it will bump your question to the top of the page so potentially more people will see it.

I think it would be a good idea to visit the website of the Timeshare Users Group (TUG). Many long time members and even Hawaii timeshare owners should be able to help answer your question.
