Standard RedWeek agreement doesnt work with brokers

Jan 14, 2020

A CAUTION FOR OWNERS: Many brokers use this site to find you tenants. The online rental agreement RedWeek prepares DOES NOT cover the situation in which the broker signs but someone else (their client) occupies (though per Customer Service, they have brokers sign all the time and "the broker becomes responsible"). While this is true, it leaves the owner with NO LEGAL ARRANGEMENT with the actual renter who is the broker's client, even though only the CLIENT can be named when you change the reservation at your resort. If the client causes damage, your legal remedy will be against the broker. The online rental agreement specifically PROHIBITS subleasing, but in effect that's what's going on. REDWEEK, please address this!
