Fire evacuation-Lake Tahoe

Hi, I am supposed to go to Lake Tahoe next week from Monday 8/30-Monday 9/6 with a week I booked through Redweek. The Caldor fire has been closing in on the area, and they are now asking visitors to postpone their visits so that the firefighters can control the fire. My rental agreement states that evacuations would be reimbursed, although the actual resort is not “currently” being evacuated. I am afraid if I cancel the reservation that I won’t have any recourse. How should I handle my current booking?

This is such a sad situation for all of the people and animals in the area. I pray they can contain it quickly.
