Average percentage of a timeshare sale that the seller can expect to receive.

I have an ownership at Wyndham Smoky Mountains. It was listed for $2500. The agent called me and said he had an offer of $2330. Of that amount, he said I could expect about $800 coming to me. Just wondering if any of you kind folks could offer an opinion about that. Thanks, Roy

That sounds about right. Most licensed timeshare brokers charge about a $1500 commission or 20%. The key is that his commission comes out of the proceeds of the sale, not upfront.
