Nanea ‘as we know it’ is going away

A Marriott rep has emailed and called saying they have urgent news. I set up a time to talk tomorrow but they let me know that our timeshare resort (nanea) ‘as we know it’ will be going away. They also said this is a significant change that may affect how we use it moving forward. Is there anything I need to be aware before talking with them? Could this be our chance to get out of it, if we no longer have a home resort? Theres nothing wrong with it, i just would rather put money into something else.
