Bear in mind that most resorts (and many rental contracts, certainly including mine) will specifically identify a minimum age (and require clear proof thereof at check-in). 25 years old is not at all uncommon and 21 is usually the bare minimum age. Clear advance Identification of the unit occupancy limit that WILL be actively enforced is also commonly referenced in the rental contract.
These measures are primarily intended and adopted to prevent the rowdy, party-minded, college age and unsupervised from disrupting life for others at timeshare properties — regardless of who initiated the rental in the first place (even parents).
