Vacation Resorts Club, Inc Scam - "bonus time resale" Interval International

Jun 19, 2023

A new bad actor seems to have come on the market. They called me this morning to try to get me to send them money so they could rent my unused bonus time with Interval International. The first guy I talked to tried to tell me that they really could rent these if I gave them money to "make them available for rental". When I told him I knew that it wasn't actually possible to do that, he transferred me to the "Inventory Manager" who insisted that it was possible and that "he didn't spend four years getting a degree in hospitality to run a scam." At which point I told him that "I didn't get an MBA to get taken in by one." I also pointed out that there are a huge number of BBB complaints against the firm for ripping people off, which of course he tried to dismiss that "all companies get complaints". Not at the level this company gets them though.

Anyway, long story short, same fraud, new actor.

Good on 'ya for calling out these thieves and letting others know that smart people are NOT going to be sucked into their scam! Glad too that you have openly indentifed these parasites by name here, thereby better warning others to beware!

For these types of obvious scams, Dr. Phil McGraw would say (and has stated that) "There are no victims, only volunteers".

Or it could very well be same actor, different name.
