You would have to ask the resort's Homeowners' Association. Make sure you contact the HOA and not just a front desk phone answerer.
You would have to make sure that your maintenance fees are paid up and any loan or mortgage on the property is paid off. Don't be surprised if they require that you pay the next maintenance fee along with any transfer fee and closing costs.
Just make sure you don't go looking for the services of these companies or law firms that claim they can get you out of your timeshare if or when the resorts refuse.
