jamesd1400I was completely misled during my Holiday Inn Vacations presentation. The sales rep painted a rosy picture of an "exclusive private club" that would be a valuable investment, a legacy for my children, and easy to use or rent out. None of this is true.
Sales reps have a notorious reputation for giving misleading "facts", telling half-truths, and outright lying. I don't know if you are still in your rescission period or not but, if you are, you have a chance to rescind and cancel the purchase.
If not, then you have a few options. One is to try to make use of what you already bought and have. If you feel that keeping up with the annual fees is too much or not a good use of your money, then just stop paying and let your membership lapse. You might face a barrage of annoying collection calls and letters and possibly a hit to your credit score. But these are just minor.
The biggest piece of advice is to not go seeking the services of these exit companies, charities, and law firms that claim they can get you out of your agreement or sue the sales people. These are generally scams.
