My family absolutely loves this resort as there's so much to do! It is within walking distance to the beach of South Lake Tahoe and right across the street from the Heavenly ski lifts, not to mention lots of close dining and shopping options as well. It felt like our home-away-from-home with freshly popped popcorn always available in the lobby, two pools and hot tubs and cruiser bikes available for taking in the local scenery. This property is a gem and we made so many cherished memories here!

I've been going to the Stardust Lodge ever since I was a kid with my folks... over 30 years. It has a special place in my heart. I love the smaller size and homey atmosphere of the Stardust and the location is amazing! Little amenities liking being able to check out a bike for free and the fun food and entertainment nights during the week put on by the staff make for a wonderful vacation. The vibe is relaxing. I'm sure you'll love the time you spend here. : )

We have stayed at The Stardust every year for over 30 years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The free coffee, popcorn, bikes, pool towels and board games are always appreciated. There are many fun events planned during the week, but our favorite is the Welcome Party with prizes and Bingo Night. We really love it here!

Stardust resort is in a fabulous location. Within walking distance of the lake in the summer and ski lifts in the winter. Stateline and the casino's restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance as well. The resort is well run, kept clean and modernized on a regular basis. It is a great place to spend a week or just a weekend.

Exchanged through Interval 1 bedroom. Stayed 4 days Valentines 2020. Got room at the back of the resort which was ok as it was very quiet and car was parked 2 steps from the door. Unit was totally remodeled. Bedroom was small with no windows. Living room had pul out sofa. They serve continental breakfast daily. My husband and I met some couple there who highly rated this place due to location. We are agree. Loved the location. Place allowed dogs as well with some additional fees. Management was very nice and took very good care of the place. It doesn't have AC so summer might be hot. It was walking distance to a nice lake beach. We would return as walking everywhere was great.

The BEST location for snow skiing, directly across the street from the new gondola and a short walk to the Nevada casino's or Lake Tahoe. After several RCI exchanges, we decided to purchase and make this our annual snow ski vacation without all the hassle. No more requesting a year in advance and hoping something comes thru, massive time wasted on phone and computer with RCI playing hard to get. The rooms are small but well kept and local management makes all the difference here. It's a keeper.

Tahoe's Best Kept Secret! This small resort is directly across from the more expensive Marriott properties with easy access to the gondola and shopping. the current rooms are a little dated, but they have begun renovating the rooms as of Fall 2008 with completion expected within 4 years. After completion the units will be comparable to those of Marriott at a far cheaper price! The staff is incredible and they have activities planned every evening and complimentary donuts/coffee every day which makes it a quick stop before hitting the slopes. You can walk to shopping, gondola, casino's and even the lake.

We first stayed here in 2005 as an RCI exchange and then purchased a unit and have been back twice.

Nothing very fancy here. It is a converted motel but the staff goes 110% to meet all your needs. Housekeeping is done 3x/wk and the place is very clean. Free coffee and doughnuts in the am and a nice clean pool area that is kid-free from 2pm-5pm. (There is a second pool in the back the kids can use.)

The best location in Tahoe, a five minute walk to the casinos and 8 minutes to the lake. A great mall across the street provides some good restuarants, but you'll probably want a car to hit some places a little further away and also do some sightseeing. Yosemite National Park is 3+ hours away, but is worth the drive.

Resort lets you book uo to 2 years in advance. We already have our reservations for 2008 and 2009 secured.

The Stardust at Lake Tahoe was the friendliest and most interesting Time Share location we stayed at during our 10 years as Time Share owners. This can be credited mostly to Bob the historian and naturalist who knows the area very well and has many interesting stories to tell. There are activities galore in the surrounding area and the Lake and the bright blue sky were stunningly beautiful.

You can't beat the location! Right across the street from the Heavenly Ski Gondola, within 700 feet of the casinos and newly renovated shops, restaurants, ice skating rink, movie theatre etc. Grocery store also. Perfect for a family, as you don't have to shlep all yours and theirs equipment long distances for skiining. Ski school right next to the gondola. We never even drove the car once we had arrived. We'll be back. Much less $$ than the Marriott Timberlodge.

This is a converted hotel that ought to rate 3 stars, but the staff kicks it up to 4 stars. Bob, in particular, the historian, is worth hearing every time he gives a history lecture. All the staff are particularly nice and helpful. The location is right on the main drag, which is good and bad - good because you can park your car and walk to most things, including skiing (ski slope right across the street) and a grocery store a block away. Bad because you can hear some road noise and construction noise when projects are in full swing nearby. The pool is not big enough for lap swimming, but there's a good public lap pool down the street a mile. Hot tub is great in the winter (bring flip-flops!) You can sign out bikes & helmets (for free), which is great in 3 seasons.
