This is a fantastic resort. The landscaping is terrific all year round. The rooms have recentlty been remodeled and fresh paint. The pool is perfect with a spa and sana on site.

There are Barbeques all over the grounds. There is a solorium with a big screen TV.

The rooms have new carpet or tile, with ceiling fans in the bedrooms with two TVs in the unit.

There is super pastries each morning, There is internet access and DVD's in each unit.

There are activities here and the Sister resort The Stardust which is 2 blocks from Harah's

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Shuttle service to Casinos hourly.

Just got back. Had a great time! This is a small friendly resort that is very relaxing. Americana definitely has THE BEST staff of any timeshare I have been to. That really made the stay nice.

I'm not a fan of the Gold-crown mega-resorts, too cold & impersonal. I like to walk outside my room & hop into the pool, not navigate the endless hallways of the larger resorts.

The Resort Staff is very nice & polite with good suggestions on what to do. I would suggest the "Woodwind I" Trimaran sailboat cruise to Emerald bay & back.

The kids loved the free donuts every morning (nice touch). The pool was gorgeous, recently redone with new flagstone, very peaceful. Giant trees are everywhere, and only a few blocks to the casinos. The Horizon buffet dinner was awesome (and cheap!). This was a very relaxing place to stay.

Great location; walking distance to casinos, Marriott Village, restaurants & shopping. Bus stop in front of resort will take you to Heavenly Ski Resort, Sierra Ski Ranch or anywhere in town. Resort is dog friendly with a fenced garden area just for pets. Marina & dog friendly beaches are all nearby. Full kitchen with outdoor grills available. Americana at South Lake Tahoe has something for the whole family.
