The longer you stay at The Sands, the better it looks! From a glance the building is relatively old and unimpressive, but at the end of your week, you come to appreciate the location and ammenities. The southery corner units are particularly nice because the view is unobstructed and gives a panoramic view of the entire area. The pool area is large, and always has room for more folks.......Great, wide beach too! The building itself is at the dead end of the development, so it's pretty isolated with other buildings on the north side only. On-site restaurant is direct oceanfront, and absolutely beautiful! (Food is only C grade, however) ....... For the money, this is the best kept secret at the beach!! ... Don't miss it!

We stayed here the week of July 23. Resort was very clean and we had a great time. Unit was spacious and we were a family of 3 and had 2 more guest with us. The beach was not crowded. The downstairs restaurant provided a good breakfast buffet and it was nice not to have to get out in the morning if you did not want to prepare something in your unit.

I have spent the last 30 years visiting Myrtle beach each and every year, Sometimes twice and even 3 times. I know of no place on the beach that even approaches the Sands Beach club....Its quiet and peaceful, Well maintained, with friendly, professional people. The restaurant is wonderful, especially the buffet breakfast. I own two timeshares, and recommend this resort above all others to everyone.

The resort location is remarkable. Family friendly. Inside heated pool & hot tub/ Outside spacious pool. Tennis & Pickel ball court. Basketball and Vollyball court. Close to shopping and good food. Oceanfront so close you can hear the surf and can see dolphins swimming. Walking distance to Apache Pier and Ocean Annie's for live music. Onsite free parking/ Washer & dryer in the unit. Don't miss this beach vacation for wonderful memories.

Direct oceanfront 2 bedroom unit on the second floor. Feels like you are on the beach. Ocean front bedroom and living room have walkouts to a balcony. Sleep to the sounds of the surf.

The view of the ocean is excellent from the large balcony. Resort is right on the beach. Excellent resort for family, golfers and very close to restaurant row. Indoor/outdoor swimming pools. Very clean spacious unit with all the amenities for perfect vacation all year round .

We are timeshare owners at this resort. It is not luxurious, but it is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Upgrades include tempurpedic beds and flat screen televisions in both bedrooms. If you are looking for a resort that offers daily made service, etc., this is not the place for you. The location is the best on Myrtle Beach! The resort borders a country club on one side so the beach is less crowded than most areas. It is centrally located and convenient to attractions, restaurants, and shopping with a Kroger, Walmart, Tanger Outlet, and shopping mall nearby without being on the main drag. All two bedroom condos are oceanfront. We have never had a problem at this resort and look forward to returning each year.

My husband and I are owners of 2 timeshare weeks at the Sands (Phase 1). We have owned these for over 15 years and have utilized our units every week since we've owned them. We have never swapped a week to go somewhere else because we enjoy our stay at the Sands so much. The management company has taken excellent care of the resort. Each unit has been upgraded and well maintained over the years and the whole outside of the resort has had a major face-lift in the past 5 years. It is so much more beautiful than it was when we first bought there. Each unit has a master bedroom with queen size Tempurpedic mattress and full bath, and a "studio" room that sleeps 2-3 people and can be closed off with sliding door. There is also a fully stocked kitchen, another full bath in the hallway, and washer/dryer in each unit. The unit will sleep a total or 6-7 and is very comfortable for a crowd. There are 2 flat screen HD TVs and a DVD player. Beautiful views of the ocean and a tidal creek that runs alongside the building that offers fishing, shrimping, crabbing virtually right outside your door! Indoor heated pool and outdoor pool with BBQ grills and lounge chairs, hot tub, restaurant, bar and pizza right on site. Access to basketball and tennis court, workout/exercise room, and games/crafts available on site. There's a beautiful golf course about a mile away and an RV campground too. There are LOTS of awesome restaurants within a couple of miles and only a few miles from Tanger outlet mall and Walmart and many other shopping venues. We just love our weeks here and the quiet, restful time we use to re-energize before returning to our hectic lives.

I am an owner at this club and just love the location, view and surrounding area. It's a perfect location with a wonderful view of the ocean. Every 2 bedroom 2 bath suite is directly overlooking the ocean. We trade our week every other year to another timeshare location and have yet traded to one that we like better. In fact, next year we're going for 2 weeks with a banked week we had been saving. Phase II is all 2 bedroom/2bath ocean FRONT. Make sure you ask which Phase you are renting! Phase II is the best!

The timeshare units are great. Tempur-pedic beds. Phase 2 is oceanfront . Phase I has a great south view. Washer and dryers in each unit. Bathrooms remodeled. 2 flat screen TV's..Lots of upgrades in 2008.. Location-Location-Location. It doesn't get any better. . Due to location, almost private beach. Restaurant, lounge and California Pizza on site. The popular Shore Drive.

I stayed at this resort 6/13/04. Nice facility but service is terrible. I checked in on Sat. it took me several phone calls to receive washclothes and I still did not get them until Sunday morning. There response was housekeeping was out of them. How does a resort run out of washclothes. I also had a painter knock on the door monday morning to inform me I needed to keep the door open for about 30 minutes because he had just painted it and it needed to dry. lt is a shame a nice place like this is managed so poorly. I had to make a phone call to complain almost every day I was there. I would only stay here as a last resort
