This is a wonderful unit for a small party. It is definitely for an outdoor person - there is so much todo and see in the White Mountains! I have owned this unit for over 40 years but now that I am getting older, I don’t use it much. If you rent and stay there, please leave reviews yourself for what you thought of the place. And there is lots of info on their web site.

Comfortable, clean, family resort close to downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, or just a quiet week away. Within 15 minutes of Lincoln, Bethlehem, and Littleton, NH, which have nice restaurants and movie theaters.

We have been owners for 20 years. Beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere.

Great family style resort near Cannon Mountain, local hiking and cross country skiing. Small, quaint, and safe for kids. Great ski school at Cannon and options to join their ski teams.

Quiet place but very efficient. Great location w/ Cannon Mtn. next door, Loon Mtn. 15 mins, Breton Woods 20 minutes, Attitash 25 minutes. Burke Mtn 50 mins, Wild Cat Mtn. 55 mins.

My wife and I owned for over 35 years. We have a summer unit and an October unit and love it. It's a quiet getaway but just minutes away from many attractions.

Have enjoyed this lovely resort for 20 years, and am sorry to give it up! It is so perfectly located for all ages to hike, swim, ski or just relax.

I love this resort. Old Austrian inn feel. Very quiet this time of year. Our unit is a corner unit and has a balcony where you see the most amazing sunsets.. Been going for 35 years. Many memories in the Franconia notch and kancamancus highway areas. Maintenance fee for 2024 almost paid off.

Historic resort in the heart of the White Mountains. Beautiful mountain views. Plenty of area outdoor activities. Comfortable, fully equipped units. Great place for family vacation.

Right in Franconia Notch State park, it is a beautiful area. Very possible to see the native wildlife. Just down the street is Echo Lake and Cannon Mountain. All other scenic stops of the park are just a drive away. The Flume is a must see too. The opposite direction there is a few stores. A 20 minute drive south is Lincoln and north is Littleton. Mittersill Resort has a very cozy atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and always willing to help!!

Great Mountain Views. Easy Access to skiing (downhill as well as cross country). Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and warm inn like atmosphere. Franconia Village and Littleton both offer convenient shopping and restaurant choices.

We have owned here for some years and this is a great out of the way location! From some rooms; the pool; hot tub and workout room you have a nice view of Cannon mountain and can watch the skiing action! Rooms have been updated and there is much to see and do at all times of the year. If you love to ski like us you can't get much closer!

We have been vacationing here for many years. Great family vacation spot. Ideal for nature lovers, hikers. Antique car and antique bike enthusiast gather in the mountains. Close to Washington cog railway, Santa's village, bear shows and water parks. The resort has a quaint alpine look. Very well maintained. Units are upgraded regularly.

Land exchange is Complete !! Mittersill is now officially part of Cannon Mountain. We come for Christmas week. Although the resort is old, it is very clean. The rooms must have been updated since the last reviews in 2003, because they are very nice. The bathrooms have nice tile floors and bath inserts. The carpet is in good condition and the furniture is not from the 60's. The location is 5 star, right next to Cannon Mountain, with plans to re-open an old section of the mountain which would make this a ski in/out resort (what more could you want). It is a family resort that has videos, a game room, ping pong, air hockey, indoor pool and board games that can be checked out. It is not a 5 start, but it is in a great location, clean and resonably priced. I love it.

We stayed in a wonderful, two bedroom, two bath unit with views of the mountains and chalets. The unit was recently updated and was as good as other units I have used in areas throughout the US.

The lodge is quaint and reminded me of resorts in the Tyrolean Alps, but that is what the Baron was looking for when he built his lodge in the White Mountains.

The lodge has a suana, hot tub, whirlpool, indoor and outdoor pools, and a fitness room. The washers and dryers are new and gaming facilities are excellent.

The only drawback was that the dining room is closed and the pub, which serves soup and sandwiches, is not open during the mid-week.

All in all, a wonderful place to spend a vacation. I like it so much, I bought another week.

We own 2 units at this resort. The first one for 18 years now. The location in the White Mountains is breathtaking any time of the year.The resort has fallen into lesser condition than when we first bought here. It is a great family resort with an activities director on-site all year round. There is a bar, restaurant (sometimes opened), activities room, laundry facilities on-site(very clean); video game room, out and inside pools(both very small and old); sauna; gym; on site jacuzzi tubs(both small and in poor condition);furniture is cheap boxy type and in poor condition; reading room with free book exchange; tennis courts; fireplace in main lobby; very isolated and nice get-away; moutains to climb and photograph or ski--our children have grown and there is not much for couples to do. Very small town--not much shopping.

We have stayed at this resort and although the location is great, this is not a four star resort. The pool is small and dirty. The rooms are very dated, something out of the 60's. The furnishings are cheap 60's. If you only sleep here it is acceptable and that is about it.

Great location next to Cannon Mt ski area. Lovely views and a great location. Rustic style Austrian Inn with modern suites.
