Quiet section of resort with view of mountains and golf course. Near numerous restaurants, shops and other amenities. Attentive staff. Unit updated inside and out. We have been vacationing here since 2010.

We've been vacationing here for over 20 years. We love the resort and our unit. Very comfortable unit with a large kitchen and a lovely screened in porch, and a beautiful view of the golf course and river. A short walk to wonderful dining at Gem and Keystone Restaurant, and Shawnee Inn. Easy drive to Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort. Great place to vacation with the kids!

Just returned from a stay in Sept 2007. Unit was dated and very tired. No kitchen cabinets for dishes, carpet soiled, toilets not working correctly (despite repair while there), LR furniture uncomfortable. Had 45 stairs into the unit--would be impossible for older person. Unit was spacious (except master BR), comfortable for large groups, nice screened porch, nice hiking trails, pleasant staff. Area (Rt 209) can get quite congested.

The units are nice, clean, rustic, and large. Many people don't realize that its close to Dorney Park (amusement park / water park) which is a fun day trip from the resort. They also have ski/snowboarding camps for the kids at the ski mountains, and childcare services. Not to mention the activities were a lot of fun. We usually visit in the winter and summer.

I have spent several weeks in Shawnee. It's a very low-key sort of setting. They typically have a packet of events that are going on daily that include champagne bingo at the pavilion and Jeopardy in one of the lounges. So, if you want to FIND something to do, t's there.

Unless you are a golfer in the nicer weather, or a skier in the winter, the two best things to do are go horseback riding or canoing on the Delaware. They are both relaxing and neither requires much experience.

For site-seeing, hit the Delaware Water Gap and Bushkill Falls. If you are there with kids, you HAVE to go to Shawnee Play Park.

Be forewarned - this is Pennsylvania, not the Caribbean! ;o)
