This is one of the best places to stay in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Great staffs and rooms, The grounds and pools are gardens in and of themselves and very well maintained. A very easy walk to where all the restaurants and bars are, and even the boat dock for excursions. Now my go to place when i visit.

Even walking distance to a few small beaches or a great place to launch off an adventure of the island. Bang for the buck this is a great resort.

Really nice, classy resort. Suites are very compfy with a great patio. Pools, gym and social room are all great with a take it or leave it book library and games room. There are some historical ruins on site, the whole place is a botanical garden, the main activity host has planted hundreds (if not 1000) different plants on site. She offers guided tours and hula lessons, yoga, crafting, lei making lessons and more all as a part of the stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great with walking access to the touristy shops, but also on the main Ali'i drive to quickly get out of town.

I love this resort. Albert is the best check in person. He is friendly and helps accommodate your room. The staff is friendly and rooms are very clean...The grounds are landscaped beautifully! They also have activities with Joy! You can make real flower leis and kukui leis for men. She is excellent

I have always found this resort a delight to stay at. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of the suites have been recently renovated and are in great shape. Close to beaches, town and golf courses.

Wonderful staff, clean, and updated unit, well-maintained common areas, and beautifully landscaped and manicured grounds.Kitchen was well stocked so we could do all the home cooking we wanted to. No direct beach access, but most places, including the beach, are within walking distance and there is a trolley bus that runs up and down main st (Alii Dr). I love this resort—it has a very Hawaiian feeling!

Fantastic Resort with free parking, the unit sleeps 6. Walking distance to Kona-Kailua town with Outback Steakhouse, Humpy's, Oceans and a variety of fancier restaurants, local shops, volleyball, and more. Hawaii Volcanos National Park and Kīlauea is just 90 miles south. You can easily drive around the whole island in a day. Incredible snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach park just 4 miles away. If you don’t want to swim in the ocean the Wyndham resort has heated pools and barbecues to enjoy along with an exercise gym. Enjoy a memorable Christmas vacation on the Big Island.

Highly desired property - low rise buildings in old Hawaii style. Convenient walk to downtown shops and restaurants.

This is a great location to walk to town easily. (Less than a mile one way). The landscaping around the resort is so beautiful filled with multiple tropical flowers and plants. The architecture feel of the resort is inspired by the 1930's truly offering that relaxing Hawaiian ambience.

Absolutely beautiful location! On Ali'i Dr. across from the ocean. Close to downtown and all that is lovely about Kona. The resort has two pools, daily activities, and a gym. I go there at least once a year...for the last 16 years!

Our two-bedroom suite was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need — full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a large lanai to enjoy the evening breeze. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated all the little touches that made it feel like home away from home.

The staff deserves special recognition — everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The pools and hot tubs were clean and inviting, and the location is ideal — just minutes from Kailua-Kona’s waterfront, shops, and restaurants, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet.

We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of comfort, aloha hospitality, and authentic island charm, Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Village Resort is the place to stay.

The reviews for the Kona Hawaiian Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii are uniformly excellent. It is in a location on the Kona Coast in close proximity to Kona International Airport. The weather on the Big Island in during Christmas and New Years is virtually certain to be dry and sunny. We are certain we are offering a great value for Your Christmas and New Year in 2025-26.

Club Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort is in a great location,with beautiful,well maintained tropical grounds.Furnished in traditional Hawaiian decor, the spacious two-bedroom resort suites feature a porch for dining or relaxing ,two king beds and a queen sleeper sofa with a full kitchen, whirlpool tub, living/dining areas and a washer/dryer. Resort amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, two whirlpool tubs, fitness center, barbecue area, business center, tour desk and concierge. No better resort for relaxation on the Big Island .

My family has been coming to this resort for over 20 years. We love the accommodations. The resort grounds are lovely, you feel immersed in Aloha with the tropical Hawaiian setting. Joy does many of the resort classes like Lei making & lessons, she is so inviting & truly makes you feel at home. We love the walking distance to downtown shops & restaurants. Not to mention, the beautiful views. Lovely pool & beach entrance spa, with BBQs on the grounds. You will not regret staying here!

This is an Excellent Resort for any visitor. Very lovely grounds with great planned activities for visitors. The bedrooms are large and has a full kitchen. You'll love the lanai that overlooks the garden. Also great eating places nearby with farmer's market down the street. AND if you’re a golfer there’s a lovely course nearby. Everything you need at your "finger tip".

We always stay at Kona Hawaiian when we go to Kona. We love the atmosphere that this is not like and hotel and very much like Hawaii. It's proximity to Iron Man is a huge plus for Iron Man week.
