This resort is right on the ocean. There are many top notch restaurants to choose from (including 3 other sister resorts). Wonderful activities, pools and landscaping that everyone can enjoy. Staff are so kind and professional here. What is really great about this place is that guests can walk on the beach for miles and can play golf across the street at the El Cid Granada- there is a world PGA rated golf course with all the amenities (this course has been used many times for international, televised golf tournaments). So for beach and/or golf enthusiasts alike- this resort is a hit!

Just returned from Thanksgiving Week trip. Beautiful Ocean views with plenty of beach for walking. A lot of beach vendors that go away with simple No Gracias...still becomes annoying after the 335th time. The kids loved the pool (waterslide and 7ft cliff to jump off). My wife needed a Dr while there and the resort was very helpful. He did a great job and was very professional with the House call. A lot of restaurants in the area with good food. I also took in a Winter League Baseball game, which was a unique experience. The wait staff around the pool works very hard to keep everyone happy. Nice amount of activities around the pool (Bingo, water aerobics, darts, etc). It's not too much, but something to do if you're interested. The resort was well maintained and should be able to accomodate just about everyone's interests.

This is our all time favorite resort! Lots of water activities: swim, water aerobics, swim up bar, beach volleyball, parasailing, jet skiing. All inclusive is optional. It includes food, beverages, some alcoholic beverages and a nightly show. A good deal for someone who just wants to relax around the resort after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing. There are activities galore around the main pool. It feels like a party all day. If you prefer quiet time, there are other pools too. The restaurants are good. The ambience is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located right on a beautiful golf course. The clubhouse also has a hair salon, tennis courts, and weight room. Most of the units have drop dead gorgeous views of the ocean. Unlike most time shares with midweek linen exchange only, this one has daily maid service. Located in the Golden Zone, there is lots of dining and shopping; there is bus service in front of the resort where you can take either a tourist class (airconditioned) bus or a regular bus right to the down town area (for more shopping and restaurants.)

we just returned from our exchange to this resort. had a great time. the staff is wonderful, very helpful. you can use all the facilities at any of the el cid resorts with free shuttle service, but we enjoyed the pool and beach best at el moro. great transportation service. helpful hint would be to go to the plaza shopping center on arrival via taxi or pulmino. grocery shop for beverages and snacks . the el marina restaurant service is the best, was treated like a queen.

This is a wonderful resort! Mazatlan is a great destination for all ages. It is hospitable and the prices are within a working person's budget. The El Cid is a beautiful resort physically. The lobby is an amazing hall of marble. There are pools, a swim up bar, the ocean, and several restaurants. And, this is all within walking distance of downtown! The units are large. The bathrooms are large. The furniture is not especially comfortable. The kitchen is not especially well stocked. Still, this resort offers fun amenities and fun activities. Transportation is excellent. No need to rent a car. 1/1/03
