We just got back from a week @Sea Mist resort. We stayed in the one-bedroom townhouse unit. It is very spacious, there are spaces for our bikes, and the bed and sofa bed are very comfortable. Given the recent hot/humid weather, the central AC in the unit worked well. The staff are very friendly. It is a nice place to stay for our family.

My family has been coming to Sea Mist for the past several years. It is a great family vacation. Over the last 2 years, several updates have been made on the property. The bathrooms have been remodeld in all units. The indoor pool ventilation system, floor tiles and lounge chairs have all been updated. The locker rooms and bathrooms adjacent to the indoor and outdoor pools have both been remodeled. The units are clean and well kept. Staff is very helpful and always very pleasant. Always something to do at the resort if you are looking for it. If not, relaxing by the pool works out great too. Mashpee Commons is a fun place to shop and eat. Less traffic makes it easy to get around. We will continue to vacation at Sea Mist.

We have been visiting the SeaMist for years and it is a favorite. Nestled in a quiet woodsy area of mashpee the resort layout is perfect with a perfect circle of units and all the amenities located in the middle. A wonderful outdoor pool with plenty of sun and an indoor pool in case you have a rare rainy day. There is also an onsite mini golf, shuffleboard, and volleyball. Staff is great with manager John and standouts like Eva at the desk. Resort units are good sized with recent renovations which the Seamist does during every off season. The location of the resort is fantastic with the many needs within walking distance or a short drive. If you are planning a Cape getaway you can't lose with the Seamist.

We traded into this resort and stayed in one of the 2BDR units. I will start with a few of the highlights of this resort. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and willing to help out with any questions or advice on the area. This is always a big plus. Also this was the first time that I have not been hit with some type of sales solicitation when checking in, which was nice. The property is in the center of the cape and provides quick access to any direction you wish to travel. The negative here would be that it is not right on a beach or harbor, etc. if that is important to you. South Cape beach is about 2 miles away. The resort was also not very crowded. Easy to utilize pool, mini-golf, washing machines, etc. without jostling with other members. Parking was very convenient as you can pull up right in front of your unit.

There are only a few drawbacks. The units are modeled/furnished out of the 70's and don't look very current at all. They are clean, but most resorts have gone through a modernization or facelift over time. Kitchen appliances, etc. are all very basic. Also, the only wifi access is in the lobby so you have to leave your room in order to surf the web or check email. No food services on site, but there is a new, large outdoor mall just across the main highway. If you do go over to the mall, I highly recommend Bobby Byrne's restaurant. It is where all the locals go for good food and drink. There is also a grocery store within walking distance.

Overall a very pleasant stay for us in this Cape Cod resort!

We are new owners at Sea Mist, and I have stayed an overnight on a getaway with college friends to shop Mashpee Commons and a winter week with my family since the transfer. We also spent a day at the outdoor pool one hot summer day last year and did not feel it was overcrowded. The only reason I cannot give 5 STARS is because of some amazing travel elsewhere over the years but honeslty for the Cape this is a top-notch place. It is lightyears away from the motels found mid-cape on Route 28. And, they have well communicated plans to continually update. We own a 1 bedroom townhouse and it is HUGE. The location is OK. We generally prefer mid-cape better but are happy getting to know the more secluded Mashpee area lately. I cannot speak to the beaches in the area b/c we have not visited during the summertime yet. We did make use of the indoor pool and that was wonderful. There is a Children's Museum right up the road that we spent a rainy off-season day there and had the entire place to ourselves. It was great, our kids had a blast! The staff is friendly, and the management team is very personable and accomodating. We met some other owners while there and they were all very involved and friendly as well. You will not be dissapointed with your stay here!

We've stayed here many times, and own 2 summer weeks. The location is convenient, the staff friendly, and the rooms comfortable. We've stayed at other resorts close by (Cape Winds Holiday Estates) and this resort puts them to shame.

Look for kitchen and bathroom remodels in 2009 (much needed and happilly welcomed). Recommend attending unit owners' meeting on Monday or Tuesday morning to get all the updates.

    Have a great trip.

Nice location .. near the Mashpee Commons that has a few restaurants, ice cream shop, lots of shops and a movie theatre. South Cape Beach (a few miles away) was beautiful. Pomponesset Marketplace (in New Seabury) was a fun place to go, entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Top floor units are large with large decks.

Stayed in 2BR unit in Aug 2002. Unit was comfortable but not luxurious. Indoor pool and hot tub was very nice for inclement weather, outdoor pool was warm and had a shallow area for kiddies as well as a 12' deep area for swimming and diving. During peak season the pool was pretty crowded - a bit too small for the resort size - but it was so beastly hot here last August no one seemed to mind much. We preferred to spend our days at the ocean beach just a few miles away.

Overall our stay was pleasant and we would go back. I will say that the staff at the front desk could use some lessons in customer service. Initially they checked us into a unit that wasn't cleaned, and they all but accused us of lying about it when we went back to the front desk to report it. Only after they sent someone to confirm it was dirty did they acquiesce and give us another unit. The second unit was nicer (second floor) so in the end we were pleased with what we got.

We usually stay in the Brewster area so Mashpee was new to us. We liked the area and found the resort well-located to take in Cape activities. A trip to Woods Hole was fun. A visit to the Heritage Plantation in Sandwich is a must. Enjoy!
