Our family of 6 stayed in the first phase blg. 4 in Oct. 2010, and i was impressed with how nice the rooms and furnishings were. Everything worked just fine, the beds were very comfortable, and i can't say enough about the linens and how well everything was available.

Save your money, I was in the 1st phase and had nothing but problems from refigerators not working to AC units breaking and the maintenace man yelling at my wife like it was her fault. Our unit was so damp that they have hard wired a dehumidifer in with the washer and dryer units and was pumping so much water out it was drain right into the plumbing work. to mask the smell they have automatic air fresheners, that bust scent every 15 minutes to mask the mold smell. my wife due to asthma had to use her nebulizer every day. We brought are complaints to the manager Dottie Arnold who apolized for the maintenace man only and ask us to give them another try, and gave us a 3 night stay certificate. not worth the paper it's printed on left message to assistant manager Anthony Ferrerira and 2 for Dottie no response. this is not a resort, activities are bad and they tell you they have out door grills to use most are broken, and game room that has 3 games that are so old they would.not intrest a 3 year old too many superior place to this for the money

We just stayed at the Polynesian Isles Resort in Nov 2008. While the grounds are very well kept the rooms are old and need repair. We had a two bedroom and both bathroom doors did not lock and fell off the tracks, they were pocket doors (slide in and out of the wall). The trim is in need of repair and the bathrooms were from the 1970's. The unit was large enough for six people, 4 adults and two kids. The resort is in a good location to Disney and the pools and hot tubs were very nice. The bedrooms also had new mattress. The rooms just needed updating.

Great resort, just returned home from Florida, stayed 5 days / 4 nights at this location. I would for sure stay here again, great location to every thing Florida has to offer. I purchased this vacation package off Ebay and did not know what to expect, I was extremely happy with my unit which consist of 1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen, place setting for 6, extra large screened enclosed patio, queen sleeper sofa, my unit was located directly in front of the main pool and guest services office,(you are able to receive free internet service in these two location) We checked in around 10:30 am which is a great plus. 24 hours security at main gate, Walmart less than 3/4 mile from resort, plenty restaurants on I92 which is less than 1/2 mile from resort. Plenty of parking, a little dark however. The units do have porch lights. SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

Check-in: The resort is located in a residential area but close to area attractions. It sits between Irlo Branson Hwy and Vineland. We arrived a day later than our check- in date and were immediately given our room to check in. We had to go to guest services to obtain our “parking pass” and a welcome gift. No welcome gift, just a pitch to attend a timeshare presentation for Grand Beach. We declined. There is a lobby with an activities room and a couple of outside areas in which you could pick up free Wi-Fi.

Grounds: The resort has about 130 units with 2 heated pools, 4 hot tubs, tennis courts, shuffle board, playground, and putting green. Landscape around the area is neat, clean, and well maintained. We only went to the pool near our building. The pool is decent size, not huge, but it was heated and very clean with adequate seating. There are some tables with umbrellas and I would say that would be it for shade; not a lot of shaded areas. There is a security guard on duty 24/7 that checks all cars coming in. They also will give out keys to your unit if arriving later than 8pm. We left this morning at 5:30am and we gave him our keys for check out.

Unit: We stayed in unit 1214 which is the last building overlooking the tennis courts. This was a timeshare direct exchange for us, so we did not receive any housekeeping services. There are no elevators in the buildings, but luckily we were on the first floor. Each building in Phase IV has 4 units on each floor but appears to separate slightly into 2 and 2. There is a washer dryer outside between each of the 2 units on each side, which is free. The unit itself is fairly large and has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, dining area, full kitchen, living room, and screened lanai. The kitchen has granite counters, full stove, fridge, and all appliances. The starter pack consists of 2 coffee packets, 2 tea bags, a small bottle of dish detergent, and 2 packets for the dishwasher and a box of clothing detergent. If anymore is needed, you can buy them for $.50 at the front desk. There are full salt and pepper shakers, paper towel and full service for 6-8 people. This kitchen has everything needed; nice set of pots and pans, including 3 nice fry pans. Sharp knives!! Very nice! The décor is nice with warms brown tones in the main living area and blues in the bedrooms. The carpet really needs to be replaced though as it is spotted and worn. Master bedroom has a Jacuzzi in the bathroom with a separate shower, chaise lounge which is great for reading and a comfortable bed. There is plenty of storage in both bedrooms for clothing. The second bedroom has twin beds with tub and shower. Both bedrooms have a 19” television in the rooms and the living room has a 25”. The living room consists of a sofa bed and 2 decent sized chairs with a cabinet which houses the TV and DVD/VHS player and also has drawers for storage. It appears use of the sofa bed would be tight to get around if opened. The dining area had adequate seating for six, as well as a breakfast bar which has seating for 3. You could purchase Wi-Fi in the room for 39.95 for 7 days, 21.95 for 3 days or 7.95 daily. However, if you choose to take your laptop to the area in back of the clubhouse, you could get it for free. No mid-week cleaning, towel exchange is done on Wednesdays if you put your dirty towels outside in the laundry basket by 9am. No charge for some local calls, but others with a prefix other than 396 or 397 were considered long distance and the charges for those are $1/first minute, .25/each add’t minute

Activities: A complimentary newspaper is delivered every morning, board games can be checked out at the desk and a variety of books are available in the game room. There are also various sports equipment, such as basketballs, horseshoes, and such also available at the front desk. There are various tickets to all attractions available at guest services at a small discount. As far as activities for children, they took those out of our packet since we were not traveling with any kids; so I can’t comment on those.

Overall: I would definitely come back to this resort; it is not too big and centrally located to everything. Disney is about 10 minutes away, SeaWorld about 15 minutes away. It is very close to restaurants. The only thing I did not care for was that the unit was kind of dark. It may have been the location of the unit, or the screened lanai, but the living room and kitchen were quite dark. The bedrooms were okay with adequate daylight, it was just the main area that was dark. There was however, great lighting in the units. The other thing was there was a terrible odor in the unit. I bought some Glade candles which worked well, but I didn’t realize they have an ozone machine which would have dealt with the odor. I would recommend this resort to others who would like to relax and be near all the attractions in Orlando.

The resort is small, but comfortable. Based on one of the reviews, I was expecting putt-putt golf and bikes. It turned out it was a putting green, not miniature golf course, and had no bikes. The pool was like bath water which was nice.

Our unit had two twin beds -- we had called to request a queen, but that was in Phase IV. We were in Phase I. There are no jacuzzis or tubs in the master bath in Phase I, only a double shower.

The furnishings were nice, but the kitchen and bath cabinets need to be replaced or at least adjusted -- none fit properly any more.

There is no coffee machine or restaurant on- site, but several restaurants are within a few blocks.

You had to go to the lobby or outside near lobby to use the free internet.

We prefer Cypress Pointe for the location and convenience and lots less traffic.

We stayed at this resort over springbreak, week 13. We own at Orange Lake, but bought a week through RCI extra vacations. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was excellent, and our room was right in front of one of the pools. Our room was large and well decorated, and the pool was like bath water. We would visit again, it felt like home.

This resort is outstanding with top of the line amenities and most importantly very close to Disney World. This resort is perfect for any family travelling to the Orlando area and would recommend booking your next visit to the area at Polynesian Isles Resort.

We stayed at this resort Jan 17, 2004. We found check in to be fast and the staff to be friendly. The resort is small, clean, and safe. There is a security booth entering the resort. It was always open.

The unit was clean and furnished slightly above average for timeshare.Very nice cooking pots and pans, and dishes. Every thing we needed was there.

The pool area was small. No fancy extras that kids like, but we were 3 adults and found it to our liking.

It was convenient to all the attractions in the area.

I had called and asked to be in phase 1 and therefore had a washer/dryer in the unit. Phase 1 master bath, however has only a double shower not a tub.

We went to a timeshare sales at Cyress Point offered by Polynesian Isles. We stated we were not interested early on and it was no hassle. We recieved $75. in Disney dollars. We were only there 65 minutes.

I would recommend this resort more for adult than familys with children, especially if you have ever been to Orange Lake or Vistanna. I would go back here any time.

Staff was friendly, location is good, facilities are dated, but nice. Grounds are well kept. Pool/spa area was nice. Room was comfortable but show signs of wear. I'd go back to this location, but would look for something newer. I was able to trade a 1 bedroom for a 2 bedroom here so it was worth it.

Beautiful tropical landscape. Well kept even in the winter. Parking is a little tight. Rooms are very nice but the jacuzzi tubs are a bit small for two people. Washer/dryer outside room are shared by tennants in each building but are free. Puttputt golf/tennis/bikes are all no charge and there are several outside hot tubs and two pools (heated). Not many resort sponsored activities or food.
