Its been a great 25 years! We purchase at Club 1 back in 2001, but we stay at Club 2 which is further of the strip as we prefer. When you first arrive at Club 1, Club 2 and/or Tropicana resort which is all apart of Cub de Soleil; See the Consierge desk which always has good deals for shows etc. down on the strip.

Great location, right off Tropicana, west of 1-15. Also very close to I-215. Right across the street from a huge park that has a big walking track, tennis courts, playground, skate park, and a huge grassy area for all kinds of sports. There are 2 buildings at Club de Soleil. Both have a pool and a hot tub. One has a tennis court, the other has a putting green. Spacious units with very comfortable beds. Staff is on site 24/7.

This resort is in the perfect location - not right on the Las Vegas strip, but only a few minutes away. The resort has a shuttle that runs all day to and from the strip so you don't need a car! The shuttle will also take you to the grocery store to stock up on food and drinks for your room. The staff is great! We received free tickets to shows (Cirque de Soliel and others), and a day trip to Hoover Dam & the Grand Canyon. The accommodations are comfortable and spacious and very clean. We enjoyed staying at Club de Soleil very much!

Club de Soleil is located a bit off the strip, sometimes it nice to relax in a less busy atmosphere and less traffic location. I love Vegas but at times all the dinging from the slots and casino noise gets to me. Relax and un wind after a day on the strip, enjoy by the pool and sip an icy beverage or grill yourself a meal. The resort has been very recently remodeled.

We just returned from an exchange at Club de Soleil. Things I liked about it: 1. It's very quiet. It gives you a break from the crowds and noise on the strip. 2. The air conditioning worked well, even in 110 degree heat. 3. The beds were very comfortable. 4. The pool was clean, and we could always find lounge chairs.

Things I didn't like: 1. It is approx 3 miles from the strip. If you plan ahead, they provide a shuttle. 2. I would describe it as a nice motor lodge, or an apartment complex, not a resort. 3. Services and ammenities are few. No pool bar, no restaurants close by etc. 4. Phase 1 and 2 are separated by an apartment complex. Not very convenient.

Don't be discouraged by reviews on other sites complaining about prostitutes etc. Security made regular rounds. The area is safe. The staff is friendly, but you are pretty much on your own. We asked if we could use the facilities at their sister resorts, but were told they could not allow that. I agree with the other reviewer that the photos are misleading. I might rent at this resort in the future, but will never exchange into it again. Our home resort is much nicer.

I am initially dismayed and perturbed by the location, size, appointments, and amenities of Club de Soleil.

Club de Soleil fronts directly on Tropicana, which is a very busy and strident multilane thoroughfare. There are the miles of elevated electrical cables and phone wires that denote an older infrastructure. The pool is small, the entrance to the condos is dark, and the elevator is slow. The initial approach through the long dark hallways seems to be a pathway through an older apartment building.

The initial view from the deck is acres and acres of mobile homes. The air conditioning is set for a low of seventy degrees, and I am certain that my northern European genes will not bear the heat. Old televisions (three) offer non-HD programming.

It is clear that my trade to the Club de Soleil provides a two-bedroom unit with ample space. The living room has an attractive fireplace that is used this week. The furniture and beds are really first rate. The unit washer and dryer are greatly appreciated. Looking east, the lights of the Strip are welcoming. To the west are snow-laced mountains that border the valley of Las Vegas. Club de Soleil is aligned with sunrise and sunset. The pool area is designed to maximize sun light as well as to provide shaded areas.

Club de Soleil is well managed and maintained. The kitchen and bathroom have been remodeled with California tile. The kitchen and bathroom counters are newly remodeled granite. Club de Soleil is clean. The pool is a focal point, and is well maintained. While the pool and hot tub are open 24 hours a day, the declining evening temperatures discourage the youngsters from late night recreation.

This is not a luxury resort. The pictures are very misleading. There are two separate complexes about a block apart. They are basically refurbished apartment buildings. Ammenities listed are not available at both complexes. It was clean for the most part, but needs renovation and updating. Staff was pleasant and helpful, but generally still a disappointment.

I spent the Memorial Day Week (May 22-29) at the Club de Soleil. I had stayed there two years ago, and fell in love with this resort. I was so impressed with this resort that I purchased a 2BR unit in March. The unit I stayed in was sparkling clean and the grounds were well kept. My only complaint was the the TV's....they were not the newer wide screen variety. Other than this, nothing looked outdated or in need of being replaced. The units are very spacious and can be split into two separate units, thanks to a lockoff door. Absolutely no problem or waiting while checking in or out, and very friendly service. Although a car would be a great idea if you are staying here, they did provide transportation to the strip. The best thing about owning at this resort is that you can split your timeshare into two units for vacation purposes. Also you can split these two units into two separate vacations of 4 and 3 days giving you the option of taking four different trips to Vegas, should you choose to do so. You can also use one side and bank the other. All things considered, this is a great resort to own or rent while in Vegas.

FANTASTIC resort. Very Clean, convenient and comfortable. Staff very congenial and helpful. Pool, tennis courts, exercise room, beautiful lobby. Near everything without being right on The Strip (just a few blocks off of it), extremely convenient to I15 and I 215, the major highways. Keeps you from travelling up and down the crowded "strip," Las Vegas Boulevard. The shuttle is frequent, comfortable bus and helpful drivers. You don't HAVE to take the "tour," but it's fun. You DO have to pay a nominal fee to use the intenet near the main lobby.

Many area sights to visit: Lake Mead and Hoover Dam, cool Mt. Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley. Enough shows in town to keep you busy for weeks.

    Amenities, furnishings, grounds all impeccable.

Great for families as well as couples. I cannot imagine how some people have given this great resort anything except the highest reviews.

    Stayed 04-26-2008 through 05-03-2008.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the action and yet be able to get away from the strip. The rooms are great and the staff is very friendly and willing to cater to all your needs.

The only complaint I had was that the prostitute the hotel lined up for me would not do anal without a condom. When I complained to her pimp he slewed various profanities at me and would not return my money. Is customer service completely dead in our society?

Great place to stay but make sure you know what you are getting upfront.

The only reason I give it a 4* is the distance to the strip. I just returned from CDS and was very happy. The staff was courteous, the conditon of the facility was flawless. The rooms were spotless. The mattresses were replaced last May and the beds were so comfortable.

I didn't take advantage of the free shuttles as I rented a car (I always rent a car in Vegas). It is very close to 3 grocery stores (within 1/2 mile) and The Orleans (3/4 mile). All in all, I really liked how quiet this place was. It was totally booked 2 of my nights and it seemed empty, very peaceful.

Property needs updating, and noticed wasn't daily maintained like it could/should. It is not convenient to the strip, but shuttles appeared to be regular and an alternative. Shuttle times don't extend late enough, but better than nothing. Had no problems or issues the week we were there. Had a one bedroom, a studio, and another family member in another one bedroom. Pool was small and no separation for children/adults. Just a little "tired", but overall decent space, condition, etc. No pressure for sales, etc.
