Love this resort. We usually use our points elsewhere (even in Hawaii) and receive two weeks for the price of one. Resorts, cruise ships, and hotels all over the world except these points.

Beautiful Resort on the East Shore of Kauai, minutes from beautiful beaches, shopping, restaurants, and the Lihue Airport (LIH). Well-appointed rooms with large Lanai, on site fine dining, waterfall pool plus hot tub and children's wading pool. Centrally located between the lush tropics of the North Shore and the pristine beaches of the South Shore. Coconut Market Place next door hosts many restaurants and shopping to include the biweekly Farmers Market (Tue & Thu). Let the sound of the waves rock you to sleep as you let your worries melt away.

Great location near everything- I stayed there 5 times with my family and we had a great time taking day trips to beaches and fun excursions. We saved money by going to supermarket and cooking in the full size kitchen and BBQ. Instead of luggage we traveled with a cooler so we always had cold supplies in our car rental so we could travel all day and not waste a lot of money. The scenery is breathtaking and beachfront views from the heated pool make nights fun too!

These units are in an ideal spot, right next to Coconut Marketplace, across from the old hotel that was damaged by Hurricane Iniki.

The units are beautifully decorated, and the oceanfront view is fantastic. I loved staying there and recommend it to anyone.

There are no elevators to access units on the top two floors. If you need a ground floor unit, be sure to request it. The buildings are 3 stories tall.

  • In our opinion, Kauai is the most beautiful and least commercialized of the main islands.

The Kauai Coast Resort at the BeachBoy is a beautiful oasis located on the eastern coast of Kauai. Great location to sit back and enjoy the constant waves of the Pacific Ocean or to launch your adventures while on Kauai. The staff is very attentive, grounds are beautifully maintained, very quiet location with great access to restaurants and grocery stores. You won't forget this trip to Paradise!

The Beachboy is a gem. You can sit on your lanai & enjoy the breeze. Great grounds & pool & jacuzzi. The onsite restaurant serves excellent seafood. The rooms are expansive with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms & a hide-a-bed couch in the living room.

Kapaa is 10 minutes from the airport & is centrally located. Princeville & Poipu are easy drives. Kapaa features an 8 mile bike/walking path along the ocean. Lots of Happy Hours & great dining in Kapaa town.

The Beachboy is our favorite Hawaiian resort-we have stayed at over 10 on the Big island & Kauai.

Kaua‘i Coast Resort at the Beachboy is a beachfront resort perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The resort offers a choice of recreations — a tropical pool area with a children’s pool, activity center, exercise facility, and an ocean-view restaurant and bar are excellent for a family vacation week.

No elevator, hard to carry luggage up stairs!

Most views are sideways view to ocean, some rooms overlook pool area.

Very noisy if there are guests on floor above, especially small children.

Try to get two bedroom on ends directly on ocean!

This is a points based resort, they will try to sell you hard! Points systems are way to expensive unless you have unlimited time in your personal schedule and unlimited money to spend, as fees keep going up! Very hard to get out of system!

Just returned from our vacation here. Were here on a Shell Vacations Explorer Package. Stayed in Unit 1303, which had a view of the ocean. The unit was comfortable and the staff was very accomodating. We did have some small insects in the kitchen area and also the carpeting was pretty dirty in both the unit and stairways. Between the sand and the red dirt of Kauai, it is understandable. They would have to replace the carpets very often in order to deal with this. The bed was fantastic-- we had just come from the Cliffs Club in Princeville where the lack of A/C and the poor mattress quality was disappointing so this bed was truly heavenly!

Overall, I would highly recommend this resort due largely to its location and amenities. The beach out front is very rough in wave action and lots of coral reef there to get hurt on........ definitely not for kids or for non-swimmers. Lydgate State Park is a beautiful beach for kids and adults both, very safe, and I even saw a turtle there while snorkeling. I guess that's a pretty common sight on this side of the island, but it was all new to me and definitely a highlight of my trip! I definitely would stay here again, as long as I could guarantee myself an ocean view room, it makes such a difference.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this resort is. We stayed for 6 nights in a 2 bdrm ocean front unit with beautiful views. It was clean comfortable and fully equipped with a very nice kitchen. Nice pool, very friendly staff and a really good restaurant on site. The resort is close to everything. The beach is nice but a little rough for swimming. A better swimming beach is just a 10 minute walk away. I highly recommend it for a family vacation.

we had a great time at the kauai coast resort. service was outstanding. the rooms were well appointed and cared for. grounds were as well manicured as could be. we enjoyed the pool, and the nearby bar. the hot tub SHOULD have been off-limits to kids after 8 pm -- too many rug rats in and out of the tub destroyed the ambiance, for sure. with that said, we cant wait till our next visit. oh -- we liked the small town feel of kaapa (however you spell it).

We have been to this resort 3 times, and loved it each time! Grounds are immaculately maintained, rooms are spacious and fully equipped. Pools and beach are great! The restaurant had delicious fresh fish specials every day. The poolside bar, and the lounge bar also were nice to relax.

Kapaa is a great location for people like us that like to drive to other parts of the island - 15 minutes to Lihue, 30-40 minutes to the south coast, 45 minutes to the north shore. Plus there are local stores that are less expensive and within walking distance.

Can't wait to go back next year!

We found this resort to be delightful. The unit was well equipped, and the bed was greatly improved once we had an egg crate placed on top of the mattress.

The staff was friendly, the grounds were immaculate and the restaurant was delightful. Kappa is a good central location -- and we will return to the Kaua'i Coast.

we were there in 2003 and fell in love with the place; a beautiful romantic resort for both a couple or a family; the grounds are gorgeous, condo is decorated beautifully and restaurant on grounds has great food & very reasonable prices for " a nice dinner"; it was wonderful on valentine's evening being in the hot tub right by the beach & watching the palm trees sway with the gentle breeze and the moonlit sky!! also, the hammocks by the beach are great to relax in;loved walking the path right along the beach with some shaded trees as well

We have stayed here before in 2001 and found it still lives up to RCI Gold Crown standards. The room are very nice, clean and well maintained. The grounds are also lovely. We had a little problem with the room safe -- maintenance came right away and fixed it and we were not charged for its use. We ate at the resort restaurant one night - Hukilau Lanai - and were pleased there as well.

Had a very nice time Oct 12-16, 2003. Units were large and clean, with pleasant decorating. Odd thing I have noticed in some T/S's lately is the sliding glass doors to the lanai go one way and the drapes, the other. What's with that? It's difficult to leave the slider open just a little and still have the majority of the door covered for privacy.

Other than the beds being too hard, this is how I would build a resort if I had the opportunity. It is relatively small, which give it a very intimate feel, and the units are designed and furnished as well as any timeshare units that I have ever stayed in. (Much better than the Embassy in Poipu, although not quite as large). The grounds are landscaped very nicely and the pool is quite adequate.

While Kapaa should no be confused with a great resort area, there are a few nice restaurants in the area and, as Kapaa is centrally located and Kauai is a relatively small island, its easy to get to other nicer areas within a few minutes drive.

However, as timeshare point systems generally work to the disadvantage of the buyer, I wouldn't purchase a unit here.

Kapaa is a good central part of the Island to stay. It may not be a touristy, commercial version of Hawaii. If you want that go to Waikiki. There are plenty of dining options nearby. People are very down-to-earth in Kapaa.

Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy is a very nice timeshare resort. The facilities are outstanding. The units are very well furnished and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is definitely one of the nicer timeshare resorts I have seen.
