Villa del Palmar Flamingos Reviews & Ratings

We LOVE coming to this resort, and do so nearly every year, especially during humpback whale season from December through March. This is the perfect size resort, has wonderfully friendly staff, great restaurants, a beautiful pool with plenty of lounge chairs to choose from, and a lovely beachfront with plenty of chaise lounges and umbrellas. It's the last resort at the north end of Nuevo Vallarta, so it's quieter but you still have access to the vendors for parasailing, skidoos, mangos & coconuts, and jewelry, but they're not pushy at all. Also, it is just a nice 1 mile walk north up the beach to Bucerias, where there are wonderful restaurants serving every kind of food you could want. After dinner, it's a cheap taxi ride back to the resort.

Where do we begin?? Our family loves Villa del Palmer Flamingos and we continue to keep it on our top resort favorite list! We originally exchanged into Villa Del Palmar Flamingos through Interval International. We loved this property just as much as the Marriott properties in Aruba and it is a lot easier, less expensive and closer for us to get there from California! The property feels like a Four Seasons Resort and the villas are beautiful, spacious and well appointed. We especially loved the large balcony with table, chairs, lounge chairs and beautiful views. The resort has its own beach and an incredible pool area with one side having a gradual walk in sandy “beach” entrance for young families and the other sides are deeper and quieter.

It has an optional all inclusive program and the restaurants are really great, and not over priced if you choose to not get the all inclusive. The Italian restaurant was delicious for dinner and we usually did lunch served poolside. We had our favorites always fresh and yummy! The kids loved the BLT’s and fries or burgers and pizza and my husband and I liked the salads and asian fresh rolls. The breakfast buffet is always delish but you don’t need to have all that every morning when you have your own full kitchen.

The grounds are lush and tropical, and there’s even a new walking path that leads you to the little town of Bucerias, where there are lots of fun beach side restaurants, bars, and street shopping. We found the prices of meals at restaurants in Puerto Vallarta/Puerto Nuevo much more affordable than restaurants in the Caribbean, Hawaii or Cabo…. Just something to note! 👍🏻

Our experience with the staff was terrific! We interacted with the managers, front desk, concierge and waiters on a daily basis. They were very friendly and helpful in telling us about all the different activities and things to do.

Downtown Puerto Vallarta and another popular restaurant/shopping Harbor area were a 15 or 25 minute taxi ride or Uber away. There are also some fun towns, 20 to 30 minutes to the north as well.

We have come to know, love and expect a great vacation here every time we come!

Security is 5-star with 2 tiered guard and security access to the property.

Beach is increible with a gentle and smooth sandy approach. Great for kids.

The one bedroom suite includes a full kitchen and 2 full bathrooms.

All Inclusive is available at the Flamingos resort. An on-site Market offers limited food items. Nearby La Comer and Mega grocery stores have great food selections.

Our favorite: A 30 min walk down the beach or 10 min taxi ride to the nearby nearby town of Bucerias offers great (affordable) dinning. Highly recommend the dinning experience!

Finally...I tell everyone we go there to get out of the cold, but I come back here because of the people!

Villa del Palmar Flamingos is on a gorgeous beach within walking distance of the lovely town of Bucerias where guests have off-resort shopping and dining options galore. There are multiple ways to Puerto Vallarta with full concierge service to assist with that and other excursion needs. The suites are beautifully appointed and kitchens are fully stocked for those who wish to prepare own meals and there are fantastic grocery stores very close by. However, All Inclusive meal plans are available at check in.

Excellent resort with great staff. Walk a mile or more in either direction on the beach. Family friendly resort with good restaurants on site (all inclusive available at site). Bucerias is a great small town with excellent restaurants and other attractions and festivals.

Beautiful resort located in the Flamingos area of Nuevo Vallarta in Nayarit State, 25 minutes north of Centro Puerto Vallarta and airport. Villa del Palmar Flamingos is the last property on the beautiful beach heading north with a 25 minute beach walk to the quaint Mexican town of Bucerias. Fully appointed kitchen for 6 and a short walk to the Mega Commercial on the highway. All Inclusive may be added at renters expense.

This is a family favorite of ours. Gorgeous resort. Beautiful beach. We love swimming with dolphins and ziplining in the area. Love the added benefit of the washer and dryer and 3 full bathrooms in this 2 bedroom condo.

We love Flamingos and so does our family. The beach is our favorite of anywhere we have traveled. Bucerias and Nuevo Vallarta have so many of our favorite restaurants that we look forward to each year. My daughter and family will join us for another memorable vacation.

We have an extra reservation in March as our son has a new job that is not allowing him to travel this spring.

Puerta Vallarta Flamingos is a paradise type of resort. The several pools, from zero entrance, waterfall, slide and upper pool where water activities take place. Nightly theme shows with buffets to match such the show. Plenty of dining options at resort. The rooms are all beautiful and comfortable. We have stayed in the 2 bedroom, and Ocean Front 2 bedroom penthouse. Very spacious units if you get the one -three bedroom units. The beach area is so tranquil and wait staff is available pool side and on the beach. We are beach users! Love feeling part of the ocean breezes and wave watching. It is a swimmable beach area and long walking beach as well. You can book a day trip to Sayulita or Buceria's where there are plenty of shopping and art to view.

Beautiful location in Puerto Vallarta with easy access to shopping and adventure packages for those looking to explore the area. Large 1 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, large living/dining room, full kitchen, extra large balcony, and excellent comfort.

The resort has a beautiful beach, large outdoor swimming pools and jacuzzis, great restaurants (all inclusive is available but not included in rental price) and a wonderful spa. You can easily never leave the resort and want for nothing. Or rent a car and explore the city.

The staff at this resort has been amazing for the past 20 years we've been vacationing here. A smaller resort means quieter and a more relaxed atmosphere.

The spa is INCREDIBLE, and the resort is really close to both Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias eating options which means there are tons of options based on your food preferences.

Recently we, four adults-seniors, stayed in VDP Flamingos. Enjoyed our time and food. The beach is easy access and good for ocean swimmers most of the time. We ate in all for the restaurants multiple times, and enjoyed the food and service. Traveled to nearby Bucerias by taxi, $12Am-each trip, for shopping and lunch. We have enjoyed the Adventure's Rhythms of the Night dinner/show in the jungle. We never purchase the All-inclusive package, because we cannot eat or drink enough to justify the price ($150/pp/pd) We spent not even half that amount. Always charge rooms and meals to your CCd in MXN Pasco's for best exchange rates. Tip: bring USD in small bills ($20,10,5,1's)for special tips at the pool and meals. Especially at the poolside. Old town PV is a half hour away - $25usd each way. Our second time at Flamingos and again we enjoyed the stay. Will come again soon.

We have spent years enjoying this resort with our 2 daughters who sadly cannot find the time to enjoy it in their adulthood due to their heavy work schedules

We have been enjoying this resort for over 15 years! It is the best vacation to wind down, enjoy and just be! Our kids just love this place!!!!

This is a fabulous beachfront resort with lots of amenities and a great location. Service is exceptional and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

A beautiful resort on the water. Close enough to Puerto Vallarta. Great very comfortable 2 bedrooms with ocean view from a wonderful terrace. We love this resort the beach and pools. Resort offer bikes for riding which is very comfortable and fun n their location.
