This resort is one of the best in the Marriott system. It has a great gym, three pools, one indoor which is great for the days that it rains (rare), tons of activities. The location is secure, secluded and the beach is pretty much your own. The beach pool is always active, it has a happy hour with some live music, daily specials and one of the best views in HHI. The golf cart system works great and we have never had a problem. The staff are very welcoming and want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Lots of off resort activity. Restaurants are close by and the best breakfast on earth is within walking distance. Harold's Diner is the best dive ever. Triple D needs to check that place out. A treat if you dare to stray from the routine stuff. The grills serve as a community center where you meet other families and learn some good recipes. The resort is a real nice self contained oasis.

Great Location and Staff. The Pool by the Beach can't be beat! Poolside Bar, food and entertainment. The Cabanas are gorgeous and provide a private oasis.

Love the golf options that the resort is affiliated with and concierge has been helpful securing reservations. They even added Palmetto Dunes courses to the mix.

This resort is unique as there are mainly 3 Bedroom units available that really can accommodate all of your extended family.

Thanksgiving week is a great time to vacation here!!

Been going to Surfwatch for over 15 years. The whole family loves the beach and the pools. The facilities are well maintained, staff very accommodating, lots of activities scheduled right on the resort. Also there is a wide variety of restaurants, shops and activities for everyone on beautiful Hilton Head Island.

Great resort. We have been going for 20 years. Great pools, and the staff is great. Food is available at the oceanfront pool, and the property is kept extremely well and clean. We love our yearly trip!

Gardenview is delightful. The variety of birds that fly into the pond is wonderful. Occasionally, a bald eagle is seen. Kids also get a kick out of the turtles (well, maybe adults too!).

We have been prebuild owners of the Marriott Surfwatch since 2005. It is perfectly situated on Hilton Head Island to get to all of the Island's amenities including 23 Golf Courses and a very short ride to the Sea Pines Resort and Harbour Town. The Surfwatch always provides a list of fun activities for our stay with our personal favorite of reasonable bike rental rates allowing us to have immediate access to riding the bikes on the flat sand beach of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the convenient network of Island Bike Pathways. We never tire of visiting the Surfwatch Resort and Hilton Head Island.

Wonderful oceanside resort. Extremely clean and well maintained. Beautiful landscaping. Very friendly and helpful staff! Quick to respond if you need a bag of ice for your cooler or an extra casserole dish (as we did).

My wife and I fly from either the Cincinnati or Dayton airport into the Savannah, Georgia airport. Savannah is a very small airport, and car rentals are immediately adjacent to the airport. From I-95, exit at South Carolina State Route 278 for a short 21 mile drive to Hilton Head. Merge onto William Hilton Parkway for about 4 miles and turn east on Burkes road to Marriott Surf Watch.

We prefer the off-season of a fall or spring holiday with pleasant weather and few tourists, and the absence of children and young parents. We have recently enjoyed a November and a New Year's holiday. This is the slow season, and dining out is a real pleasure. The weather is better than in the northern states, and driving the island is a joy. Check-in is one of the nicest experiences for any Marriott.

As a newer Marriott property, this resort avoids several mistakes of older Marriott resorts, but provides a dilemma for discriminating owners who value the serenity of an Atlantic Ocean view. The large whirlpool tub is absent, and is replaced by an excellent luxury shower for two! The Hilton Head properties would benefit from fireplaces. Marriotts Surf Watch eliminates the lockout units and offer two and three bedroom units.

The seawater marsh that is integral to Marriotts' Surf Watch is a vibrant ecosystem consisting of a creek and rising tides that provide a congenial stroll to the beach as well as provide an irenic 50-70 yards of contrasting beauty to the sand dunes, beach, and the Atlantic Ocean.

The several excellent Marriott timeshare properties will ensure many years of continued visits to Hilton Head Island. Hilton Head is not the destination for the Disney crowd. The visitor who enjoys the natural beauty will be well rewarded. The Garden Units are first rate.

Beautiful private Atlantic Ocean beachfront property on courtyard with direct beach access. Three Bedroom Villa sleeps 12: Master bedroom: King bed; Bedroom 2: two Queens with full bath; Bedroom 3: two Queens with full bath; Living room: Sofa bed, Complimentary parking on site. We are Marriott Chairman Club level and are given a nice view.

This Villa sleeps 6. Marriott is known for their comfortable beds. Located in the heart of Hilton Head Island. Convenient to shopping and great restaurants. Offers easy access to the beach. Enjoy the salt water pool overlooking the ocean with poolside cabanas, their indoor pool with fitness room and sauna and many outdoor pools throughout the resort. A great family vacation spot.
