Wavecrest is a well run, and well cared for resort, right on the ocean in Del Mar. Next door to a park, and the beach. The staff are very accommodating, the rooms have been recently upgraded. Really sweet place to vacation.

I love Wavecrest resort. Sits right on the ocean in lovely Delmar. The round pool is lovely, and has ocean views. The beach is quiet and beautiful, a park sits right next to the resort. The staff is super and helpful too.

Really a special find tucked in Del Mar ....right on the Oceanfront. One block away to great restaurants and wonderful shopping. It doesn't get any better.

Fantastic small resort directly on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the heart of Del Mar, California. It's like having your own intimate club. We love our weeks there and always look forward to our visits.

This quaint resort is a favorite of ours with its gorgeous ocean views and quiet location. We love the restaurants and shops in Del Mar. The sunsets are amazing!

Unbeatable place and location if you like Del Mar and/or the race track. Its a small resort with basic amenities but its very well maintained and the location may be the best in Del Mar.

I just had a cancelation. The week is open for a rental. This resort is very special. It is on the beach and close to great restaurants and Horse Racing in Del Mar.

Great resort with amazing ocean views. Two minute walk through a park down to the ocean. Pool and hot tub just steps from unit 29G. This unit is on the bluff with great Pacific Ocean view.

My husband and I have owned and stayed at Wave Crest Resort for the past 23 years! We look forward to our vacation away from home. Wave Crest is a beautiful resort in a magnificent setting. The big draw is of course the Pacific Ocean and the proximity to the beach. The pool and spa area overlook the Pacific Ocean. A lovely grassy park area is adjacent to the resort with paved walkways that parallel the beach area. Some of the units have lovely ocean views and these are my favorites, but the others are also pleasant and when the weather is beautiful we are out of doors enjoying the beautiful beach.

Recently new furniture has been added. The pull out sofas are new and quite comfortable. The 1 bed studios I have stayed in and have peeked into looked fine. I have never stayed in a studio with a murphy bed. I did look at one and it would not be my choice, but still the location is so perfect.....

Many wonderful restaurants are within walking distance. The Del Mar Fair Grounds are minutes away and of course all of San Diego is about a half hour run. Don't miss the Del Mar Candle factory.

Be aware that the units are not air-conditioned (with the exception of one one bedroom above the laundry room). In very hot weather the upstairs units are impossibly hot.

Although this is not like the luxury resorts found in Mexico, it is my absolute favorite.

What a wonderful place for a vacation. Being right off the ocean means ocean breezes and magnificent whitewater views from the living room, master bedroom, and the patio. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit so also had a private grassy area for the children to play.

Location is perfect and within walking distance to great restaurants, boutiques, Seagrove Park, and of course, the beach! The parking lot is spacious and convenient.

The view from the pool can't be beat! There is a beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi, complete with an outdoor shower and BBQ area. A complete kitchen means you don’t need to bring anything but your bathing suit.

The landscaping and walkways around the property are well maintained, and the units are clean, bright, and recently renovated. There's a club room with complimentary tea and coffee daily, lounge area, magazines, and daily newspapers.

The staff are helpful and you can check out bicycles, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas to enhance your vacation stay.

I stayed Sept 12-19th in one of the studios. It is very clean and although not the most "modern" decor, it is nice and in good very clean condition. It was one of the hottest weeks in San Diego area and there is no A/C here. They do provide a box fan and since none of the stores inland had a fan to be bought, I figured it out and did just fine by coordinating when and which blinds were open, fan placement and such. An afternoon nap would not have been possible, but the rest of the time was very doable. I will definitely stay again. You cannot beat the location and the grounds are beautiful... Parking lot is a little tricky.
