updated 3/6/24 yup, we are still going at least two weeks per winter, my kids are still enjoying trips here with us, and they are approaching 30 years of age. We are approaching 25 years of ownership. As the ski area conglomerates continue to swallow up, expand and commercialize resorts, it makes one even more appreciate of Smuggs independence. It is truly a unique place!

updated 11/13/18 Kids are grown up and nearly out of the house, but we are all still going! We never tire of Smuggs - it's our annual pilgrimage. We are approaching 20 years of ownership!

updated 08/06/12 We first visited Smuggs in winter 1999, bought a winter timeshare in 2002. Stayed in summer (August) first time in summer of 2003, It's just as great both seasons, it's worth a six hour drive for us. Two adults and children ages 15 and 17. The best if you are a very active family.

The door to door shuttle service is fantanstic (you could literally park and leave your car for the week) and you only wait five minutes for it, cost is included in your vacation.

This is classic, crowd-free New England skiing at its best. It's like skiing at your own private resort, often with zero lift lines.

Just want to mention that in 13 years, my entire family has yet to get bored skiing here - we find something new every year. Aside from the fantastic learn-to-ski programs for the young ones, expert skiers will find some of the most challenging and scenic tree skiing anywhere, which is constantly being expanded and improved upon. The resort also benefits from the northern VT snow effect - read SNOWing when it is raining elsewhere. Now my children are both level 8/9 skiers and snowboarders and ski all over the country, but we still return to Smuggs for a week every single winter . We owe it all to Smuggs....

We have owned at Smugglers Notch for over 40 years and enjoyed every visit, only now we are in our 80's and family have their own vacation spots. Now is the time to reluctantly let it go.

Smugglers Notch has been a family favorite of ours for over 45 years! There is something for everyone there. The resort is beautiful, situated for day trips to Burlington, or even Montreal. A memory building destination!

Fantastic resort. Regarding location, it's a bit remote from much of the country, but worth the trek to get there! Vermont mountains in summer are hard to beat. Amenities are many and varied. Boredom would be hard to achieve! For expanded entertainment, drive through "The Notch" over to Stowe. Warning: the place has addictive potential.

Smuggs reviews their services and campus regularly. They update and repair promptly and consistently. The summer pools, programs, local hikes and lakes are fabulous!

Smugglers Notch is a great, family oriented resort and our family has loved coming up over many years. The resort is far enough north to have plenty of cold weather and precipitation for good ski conditions. It's easily accessable from Burlington airport if travelling from afar.

Our son, his wife, and 10 month old son, my husband, and I stayed a week at Smuggs in August, 2017. We all enjoyed every minute of our stay, including our grandson. The unit was clean and comfortable and convenient to many activities. The shuttle service was very quick and convenient. When we called to ask questions or needed anything, the staff responded quickly and courtesly. There are so many activities for every age, including very young children. We will definitely return!

Outstanding family resort with lots of amenities, friendly staff, pools, shuttles, programming, restaurants and activities. Superb opportunity for families looking to enjoy a well run and delightful resort. With decades of experience, a welcoming atmosphere for families of all ages, Smugglers Notch has been a go to resort for those who want to return again and again to a perfect balance of activities and leisure knowing that they will be well looked after. The accommodations are on the top floor and are regularly renewed and refreshed. Fully equipped with all appliances, washer and dryer, a balcony view that shows the Green Mountains at their best, this unit is uniquely positioned to enthrall visitors. Week 33 is one of the prized weeks in the summer every year and having the additional float week allows owners to take advantage of the unique fall foliage in most years. We've gone to Smuggler's Notch every year since our children were very young (30 years). It is fabulous for all ages. So sorry we can't this year.

Great area for teaching young children to ski. Our children and grandchildren have learned to ski at Smugglers Notch. All day children’s programs are excellent and they free up parents to do what they want during the day. Tubing on North Hill Is also fun.

My family has vacationed at Smuggler's Notch for over twenty years and enjoyed every trip. The resort has multiple pool areas, day camp, tons of daily and nightly activities, and several on-site dining options. The area has extensive hiking, swimming, fishing, and dining areas as well. There are local wineries and breweries within a short drive. Through the "notch" and down the mountain is Stowe which is another great area to explore. There is nothing we enjoyed more than summer in the mountains in Vermont!

Comfortable, clean and plenty of room for our family of four. The extra perks of sauna, hot tub and library in our building were a fun addition. Location is convenient with easy access to skiing , tubing, snowshoeing and skating. The resort itself offered a wonderful ski school for children and adults. The staff were always professional, friendly and helpful. A great deal for a fun winter vacation!

This 2 bedroom unit sleeps 8 and offers a full kitchen, wifi access, a washer and dryer in unit, and free parking. Accommodations are clean and comfortable. Staff is pleasant and eager to help. Location is ideal for scenery and winter activities from skiing (both downhill and cross country) to snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. There is a free shuttle to/from ski areas. Amenities are numerous, varied and excellent.

This 2 bedroom deluxe unit, which sleeps 8 with a full kitchen, wifi access, washer and dryer in unit, has a balcony or patio, as well as free parking. Located near great Vermont ski areaqs, a free shuttle to and from the slopes is provided. the unit has two full baths, a fireplace, as well as king, queen, and queen sleeper sofa, plus two full double beds.

Beautiful lower level unit with walk out to back Yard. Easy access to BBQ's and picknick tables. Great for entertaining from unit to back yard with beautiful view of mountains and the infamous Smugglers Notch. 20 minutes from Stowe which is a fabulous town to visit on the other side of the Smugglers Notch. A beautiful 20 minute drive through the Notch. Many, many Trail Heads everywhere, including on the resort itself. Resort has Five accessible pools with a private pool five minutes walking distance to the unit. Fantastic opportunity for the kids.

Put them in reputable and safe Day camps, age adjusted through 18 Y/O. Mom/Dad have 6-7 hours of freedom to experience adult type activities, bike riding ,Hiking, eating ,resting and relaxing in the beautiful mountain sun. Best time of year to go, as the weather has always been fabulous for us over the last 20 years. Camps are obviously additional cost but well worth your freedom. Total Points 182,100. Fixed week uses 114,400 points. Float week allows for winter booking OR transfer to RCI bookings of 67,700 Points.

Burlington International Airport is 40 Minutes from resort. Easy drive so you can fly in from anywhere conveniently. Small, easy to use airport with easy car rental facility additionally.

Great opportunity in the winter for skiers too!

Don't pass this up as this unit cost me $40,000 20 years ago.
