Just stayed for one week in Building 12, which is
right next to the amenities center. Our unit was
old and needed updating. Nicks in the furniture,
old carpet, old TV's, a dining room chair that was
from another set, etc.
The staff was very friendly and of course we were
invited down to speak to a staff member to
participate in what they told us was a survey.
Having been on a lot of sales pitches, we told
them we were not interested. They told us that
this was a once a year survey they do to better
serve their customers and assured us it was not a
sales presentation. So we went and sure enough
it was a sales pitch. The guy we had was pretty
decent though and when I told him I thought this
was a survey and if he was trying to sell us an
upgrade we would just be wasting his time
listening to him he got us out of there.
The resort is located in a pretty good spot to use
as your jump off point. It is right down the
street from Opryland and very close to I 40. One
thing I did not like is the lack of security.
There is no gate at the entrance and no fence or
wall around the property. The back side units are
right across the street from residential houses as
well. The only thing separating the pool areas
from anyone walking down the street is a small row
of thin bushes.
All in all, OK at best. My wife and I have stayed
in about a dozen resorts and although this one is
not the worst, it definitely was in the bottom 3
or 4.
