The location of this timeshare is ideal. You are 1 block from Canal St., 2 blocks to Bourbon St., and a bit more than that to the Mississippi. So many wonderful restaurants and music halls are just a short walk from Quarter House. Some roads in the Quarter are closed during the day. As you walk along, you hear the most amazing street performers. The staff is one of the best things about the place; they are friendly and very helpful. They also have a small pool in the center courtyard. I would highly recommend this timeshare for everyone. Since parking is next to impossible, I would not recommend renting one. Cabs are easily found and this is an easy city for walking. Plus, you have to try the streetcars. You can take the bus to City Park, where they have a wonderful art museum and a display of Faberge Eggs.

We have been very happy having Halloween Week at the Quarter House for the past 25+ years. And we’ve been happy with how the property has been maintained, renewed and expanded. The location has only grown in popularity and demand being right in the French Quarter with great access to everything. When we don’t use it ourselves, it very easily rents, allowing us to re-coup annual maintenance fees.

This resort is located in the perfect location for visiting New Orleans, you will not need a car. It is within walking distance to everything, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, Riverwalk and Harrah's Casino. You will not get bored visiting New Orleans. Make sure to book reservations early to all famous restaurants in the area, so you can get in. There is entertainment everywhere, great Jazz and Irish Pubs and don't forget Bourbon Street.

We have been going to New Orleans on vacation now and staying at this resort for over 6 years now, and thinking of adding on more weeks. The Quarter House has all the New Orleans charm of the French Quarter. The staff is always very nice and very helpful.

The Quarter House is a wonderful place to stay! We have visited more than a dozen times and always enjoyed ourselves.

The resort itself is all apartment-style units that are each unique. The units we have stayed in all felt very spacious and were tastefully furnished in classic New Orleans style. They have separate living areas from the bedrooms as well as kitchens. There is a lovely courtyard with a small pool which is great for cooling off. The resort hosts a couple small events each week where you can grab a bite to eat or a glass of wine and meet others staying at the resort. They also offer a walking tour. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, frequently connecting with the same staff members year to year. They are very knowledgeable of the area with wonderful recommendations and suggestions to local events, tours, transportation, restaurants, or whatever you are looking for.

As for the local area, the location is the best part of the whole thing. We grab a taxi from the airport and then we don't even need a car for the rest of the week! You can walk Chartres street right out your front door or Royal street just one block up. These are the two streets we use religiously to get through the French Quarter. They both have numerous art galleries and unique shops. Bourbon street is just a few blocks up if your into the nightlife. The river and the French market (with Cafe du Monde) are again just a few short blocks away. Access to other great parts of the city like City Park (a must see) is easy -- just go out the door and 1/2 block to Canal street and hop on the street car. Similarly if you want to tour the Garden District, the St. Charles street car comes right there to Canal street too. The nearby dining options are of course amazing as you would expect for New Orleans. I can't even do it justice, just search for restaurants on a map in the area and see the sheer number that pop up. New ones seem to open all the time. One last thing we personally enjoy is wine, and this area delivers on that too -- check out the Wine Institute of New Orleans (WINO) just a ten minute walk away, or take a short ride over to Bacchanal for some live jazz with an amazing selection of wine and tapas in a beautiful, hip backyard environment.

Despite all that entertainment right nearby the Quarter House the resort itself always presents a peaceful oasis to come back to and recharge for the next day's adventures. We've tried other hotels in the area and nothing really compares to the apartment-like feel and level of comfort you get here. A hidden gem.

We have enjoyed week 17, the first week of Jazz Fest for many, many years. We are there from the Saturday of the Fest's first week through the Saturday of the second, so includes 5 days at the Festival-- 2 days the first and 3 days the second--with a welcome rest in between. The location is perfect. Direct buses leave from Canal street a block away to Fest. At night, we wander through the Quarter, or walk along the river to Frenchmen Street or take a streetcar to the uptown clubs. It's a magical musical time and the Quarter House is charming, comfortable, friendly and has a great little pool. There is no place in the world like New Orleans. Good food, great music, wonderful people! And charming comfy place to stay.
