Excellent location, close to Magic Kingdom (transportation via boat or bus) but off the beaten path. The bus stop is steps away. Cabanas are free at the pool. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and it smells so good!

Besides being one of the most beautiful resorts on Disney property. After staying at a few resorts around the park, this is our favorite, the first one we think of going to. The Hotel is just so perfect in layout and looks, at night it takes on another personality like you are staying in Yellowstone Park.

Boulder ridge is one of the most beautiful resorts on walt disney world property. It has a Grand Californian feel and is the prettiest during Christmas. There are two pools you can easily access. One is just for the DVC members which you would have access to with these rooms. My favorite are the 2 bedroom villas because of the full kitchen and space. Easy access to Magic Kingdom and the monorail by boat/ferry. Very regular busses to all the parks. We have rented a car and never used it due to the ease of transportation. Staff are beyond helpful and you can easily deliver Amazon or Instacart to stock your room up. Nearby outlets and super Target make it easy for fun shopping or to buy the things you may have forgotten at home. Do not pass over this resort. My partner who does not like Disney or time shares prefers this resort every time we go!

My family and I have been to just about all the WDW resorts over the last 10 years - and this one is the best for a family that wants easy access to the Magic Kingdom. Also, the wilderness affect on children is so positive that my girls still talk about it in conversation today!

As a DVC member I try to stay in as many resorts as I can each year. This year we stayed at Wilderness Lodge for one short night because I could not get 2 nights consecutive at any DVC resort because it was a last minute trip. Anyway this resort was still under a bit of construction when we visited but is a charming Old lodge feels like you are in the National Parks lodge style to it. The timeshares are a bit inconveniently located in an out building quite a hike away from the main hotel area but they are surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The rooms look like regular hotel rooms with a small fridge and microwave. Your view is of the pine trees which adds to the woodsy feeling of the place. The restaurant was good and lots of fun for breakfast as the waiters make up all kinds of games for the kids and adults alike in the morning. My elderly Mom and Aunt in their 70's and 80's had a rip roaring time with the 70ish waiters flirting with them and singing at their table. Of course the staff is the friendliest in Orlando with that famous Disney training. Our bellhop had worked in Disney for more than 30 years since the Contemporary hotel had opened and he was still in the same job but now at Wilderness Lodge. How is that for loving your job. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but don't care much for the location of the timeshare units so would probably try somewhere else instead of repeating here. If you don't mind the trek to the units you will enjoy your stay here.

This is one of the great property within WDW. Villas are right next to the Lodge and share all amenities. Quite pool is relaxing and not crowded like the main pool but no slide. Close to Magic Kingdom is a big plus with families with little ones. A boat service to MK, Contemporary and Ft. Wilderness with bus service to parks and Downtown Disney. A rustic feel to this place with wonderful restaurants

The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the perfect all around resort. It is located adjacent to the large Wilderness Lodge Resort but the villas have their own entrance. It's a "FABULOUS" location for families with small kids because there is a charming ferry to the Magic Kingdom from the resort.

Make sure you use all the pools, not just the one at the villas. There are several pools with a white sandy beaches to boot.

When we stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge we love to leave the windows open in the villa. Leaving the windows ajar allows the lovely breeze that comes from the secluded woods behind the villas to fill the villa with the scent of pine..... Incredible! There is a private pool just for vacation club owners and their guests, plus the health club is the best on property.
