My friend and I had a fabulous time at the Westin Mission Hills Villas. We enjoyed the pool and met lots of friendly people there who we really connected with and enjoyed while we were there. The Staff was professional, kind and very accommodating! So much to do in Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs. We toured around Palm Springs and found Elvis's vacation home, Bob Hope's home etc. Went to the "Street Dance" on Thursday evening. Took the Gondola up to San Jacinto Mountains. So beautiful!! We will be returning soon !

The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas - A Desert Escape Done Right

I loved my stay at The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas! The spacious villa with a fully equipped kitchen, private balcony, and heavenly bed made it feel like a true home away from home. The multiple pools, including a relaxing adults-only area, were highlights, as was the on-site spa—perfect for unwinding after a day of desert exploration.

Dining was fantastic, and the staff were warm and attentive, always ready with recommendations. With golf courses, hiking nearby, and serene surroundings, this resort strikes a perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Can't wait to return!

This resort has it all..and is convenient to many activities in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley. It's comfortable (love those Heavenly beds), clean and quiet. You will have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and also the Pete Dye golf course associated with the Westin Resort. Whether it's a romantic getaway with your spouse, fun place for the family or an oasis to attend nearby festivals such as Coachella or StageCoach. This is the place to be!

Rooms starting to look a little "used". Housekeeping which was included in our stay was minimal. Parking a bit of an issue. Pool service and meals were good and lots of paths for walking. We had a room which overlooked the golf course but I wouldn't want to get a middle unit where your view is of other units.

I am very surprised by the poor reviews given in the last few entries. We stayed in mid- january 2007 and stayed in the 2 BR villa. Very spacious and nice accomodations. We had stayed here two years ago and you can read my posting from that visit if you scroll below.

Last year we decided to stay at the Marriott Desert Springs Villas thru an II trade. It was nice, but the Westin was and is definitely nicer. The rooms are more spacious, and all the furniture and accessories in the rooms were much newer and upscale. The premises were also much better kept, very clean and resort like. We had no problems with housekeeping or cleanliness. This place was a lot cleaner than the Marriott out in this area.

Don't get me wrong.... we enjoyed the Marriott Desert Springs Villas also.... (I wrote a long review for the Marriott Desert Springs Villas that was very favorable) but we found the Westin to be much nicer with great service. We got our Heavenly cribs and high chairs right away. When we checked in the porter was quick to help move all our belongings as we brought LOTS of stuff, given that we have two very little kids.

The only bad aspect of our trip was that it was uncharacteristically cold during our stay. Oh... I also lost lots of $$$ at the casinos. The golf courses were frozen so play didn't start till about 9am each day. This is the same week that there was $1 billion damage to California crops. Bad timing, but even still we had a great time. Would've liked the chance to spend time in the pool though. The large whirlpool in the master bedroom was good enough however for my son. He also thoroughly enjoyed feeding the ducks and the little ponds and streams they have on site.

For those of you with little kids, the Living Desert (zoo) is a nice place to go. They have the most amazing model train exhibit. My son couldn't get enough of it. There is also a nice childrens museum called the Discovery Center in Palm Desert.

Anyways... I would definitely come back here again given the chance. We love it. I just wouldn't want to own here with the $1000+ annual maintenance fees. I guess thats what it takes to keep the place nice. Glad someone else is paying for it though.

Like I said... I'm very surprised by the poor reviews as our experience on two separate occasions was very good. We really love this place.

I stayed in the smaller of the one bedroom units. The unit was very clean and well appointed. 24 hour room service was a nice touch. In my opinion, the construction quality was not first rate though (the stucco, the thin doors, etc). The staff was quite young and did not display the professionalism that I have experienced at my home resort in Carlsbad. Parking spaces weren't always available right near the villa, either. The restaurant near the pool was quite good. Overall, a lovely resort but the staff needs much more training. I would go back if the price was right.

Great resort adjacent to the Westin Rancho Mirage Hotel! Easy drive to downtown Palm Springs or the mountains. Two-bedroom lock-offs have TWO full kitchens to make your Thanksgiving feast! Also, the larger bedroom unit has a fireplace in the living room and main bedroom. Owner will submit a request for a specific type of unit (upper/lower unit, golf course view) on behalf of the renter! Marriott is currently asking $940 a night for a 2-bedroom lock-off during this holiday week!!

I love the Westin Mission Hills Villas for their amazing location, convenient to all the fun in Palm Springs, as well as the El Paseo Shopping / Dining district, and the Palm Desert Living Zoo! The Westin Heavenly beds are the best, and the #1 reason I always book through Westin or Marriott. I even purchased Westin Heavenly bed pillows and linens for my home from their catalog! For days you want to stay in, this resort has a lovely pool and nice, large spa grotto - plus a fun slide! It's always clean and nice, and the kitchen amenities are perfect for a week stay!

The Westin Mission Hills is a highly desirable resort with its location central to many Cochella desert activities, entertainment, sites, restaurants and shopping. Comfort, cleanliness and customer service all add to a positive and enjoyable stay at this resort. Love the peaceful surroundings such as the golf course, waterfalls, pool/spa and trickeling stream that flows through the center of the resort. Having a comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room as well as a bbq on the outdoor patio are always a plus at this location.
