Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba - Ocean Suites Reviews & Ratings

We recently purchased a timeshare at this resort and just used it for the first time. In a nutshell, we love it!! Many of the employees have worked at the resort for a number of years and the views are spectacular from the upper floor units. The property is actually split into two separate sections. There is an adults only hotel part of the resort and a separate timeshare portion located on the beach. The property is managed by Marriott and can be booked on their Bonvoy website or thru Interval International and other online sites.

The hotel is across the street from the timeshare resort and is a 5-8 minute walk from one to the other. They also have golf carts and will drive you back and forth if you’d like. The pool at the hotel is very nice and both properties share all amenities (except no kids in the hotel pool) including access to the private island. Most of the restaurants are located in the hotel portion of the property, but Fresco at the timeshare resort has excellent food. There is also a small bar/restaurant by the lagoon/pool and one on the private island. We did see some children wandering around the hotel portion of the property, but I’m not sure if they were just visiting because we were only there for the spa. The private island is wonderful, but we really enjoyed the lagoon and the pool by the beach. The boat that takes you to the private island has a pick up point right in the hotel lobby and runs back and forth every 15 minutes.

The owner timeshare floors are 1, 3 and 5 with floors 2 and 4 being timeshare rooms available to rent. Our unit had a small kitchen with a stovetop, pots/pans/plates and utensils, two mid-size refrigerators, a large bathroom with double sinks and a nice size shower. The bedroom had a king-size bed that was very comfortable and the unit had been remodeled within the past year. We ordered some groceries and often ate breakfast or lunch in the room and then dined out for dinner.

The room was very spacious, super clean and the oceanfront view was fabulous! The cruise ships were so close you could almost touch them as they went out to sea and the sunsets were beautiful. Although the units are a 1/1 bedroom-bath, they have a sofa sleeper for 2 more people. However, if traveling with anyone besides small kids, I’d recommend a second room. The price for drinks, meals and services (spa) were all very reasonable and the service was very friendly and attentive. The location is extremely convenient within walking distance to many places in the downtown area. We've always stayed in the high-rise resorts on Palm Beach, but really liked the change of pace with this property.

The only possible drawback is for people with children. Although the resort does have daily activities, many of them are not geared towards children. While there were kids swimming in the pool or on the beach, the property isn't family focused like some other resorts. Since we weren't travelling with children, no issues at all for us, but something others should keep in mind. Overall, I'd highly recommend this resort.

Renaissance Wind Creek really takes great pride in keeping their space relaxing and safe. From the clean pools and restaurants to the full service beach. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

The staff is absolutely outstanding. The surroundings gorgeous. Although there are great dining options at the resort, the walkability to a variety of dining options, as well as shopping and entertainment options is perfect!

Also, there is brand new gym facility on grounds at the Ocean Suites.

We love, not being in the congestion of the Hotel Strip, the staff treat us like family as we have been staying at this resort since it was built. We have purchased additional units, and would like to sell this unit as I have difficulty navigating to the 5th floor.

Give up my timeshare??? No way!!! I'm guessing that those TV commercials we see in the USA have never been to Aruba and to the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort. Two beautiful swimming pools, a beach area, walking paths along the Ocean, wonderful restaurants within walking minutes from your room and the best Dutch Pancakes 30 steps from the hotel's door. And, access to Renaissance Island (Flamingos) via a boat launch located close to the hotel. If you want more of an adult experience Renaissance Island offers an adult only beach, and you have access to the infinity pool at the Renaissance Hotel across the street (walk or ride the free shuttle). We've been going to Aruba for over 30 years and this is the place to be!

Part of Aruba Marriott Renaissance Resort, the Ocean Suits have a 4-person capacity, ideally two adults and two children. It has a great restaurant, a couple of pools on the premises overlooking the beach, and an additional, mostly adult pool at the Renaissance Hotel across the street. There is transportation service by the hotel ferry boat to their exclusive island, which has two additional expansive beaches and a restaurant. There is a nice small but elegant mall with all types of restaurants and coffee houses, ice cream shops, additional restaurants, and a casino which are right beside the Ocean Suites building. A beautiful jogging track that runs for miles and is just beside the Queen Wilhelmina Park. All suites were fully refurbished within the last 24 months. They include a private room with a King-size bed, a modern bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette. Sitting on the balcony with the pool and beach view is just priceless.

It is just perfect. Away from the crowds, with plenty of restaurants around, informal, with a small ocean key you go to in a continuously running water taxi. It cannot be better. Great pool-bar, pristine.

Love that you can hang by the pools or take boat to private island - no need to bring food as they serve food and drinks on island that are charged to your room. With the kitchenette, I go to the grocery store and get basic breakfast, snacks and drinks. Love the happy hours here in the pool. Quiet - not like the crazy places. Can read a book on balancy and watch cruise ships come and go. Staff is helpful. Can walk to downtown to great restaurants. On site car rental place to visit other parts of Aruba for a few days. Golf cart can take you across the street if you dont want to walk or have a bunch of shopping packages to carry back.

Love this beautiful room, fully remodeled within the last two years, overlooking the pool and ocean. We enjoyed having our coffee on the shady balcony each morning. The Renaissance staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Also love going to the private island. Wonderful!

Gorgeous resort with amazing views and a spectacular private island! Plan to spend a day on Flamingo Island to soak up the sun, eat, feed the flamingos, snorkel, and relax! Great location and is within walking distance of many restaurants, but be sure to head down to the main strip near Palm Beach for even more shops and entertainment options!

The resort is in the best location. Private island is a the best or just lounge the resort. Strip mall is convenient with the large mall across the street. Marina next store makes walking around a pleasure

Renaissance Ocean Suites is Located in the Heart of Aruba and everything from the spacious rooms, cleanliness of the resort, their gorgeous pool with swim up bar, live island music playing daily, restaurants and use of their own Private Island make this resort 5 stars! The staff is simply amazing too! Excellent Location and you can walk to everything you need!

Love this resort and the included private island! Setting is beautiful. People are very nice. Many restaurants and activities are nearby. Couldn't ask for a better vacation experience!

Beautiful resort with on premise gaming. Family friendly. Spend your days shopping, pool or Island Beach with the flamingos. Adults only infinity pool available in the Renaissance Marina.

The Love Affair my wife and I have for this Island and hotel started 30+yrs ago when we arrived to celebrate our Honeymoon! The Island is known for it's reliable weather and world class beaches. We know that it also offers a fine selection of restaurants and The Marriott trained organization that manages the Renaissance provides World Class Hospitality. Aruba is a great place to vacation. The weather is fantastic. The Renaissance offers you a great place to relax either at their pool or their private beach. Restaurants, casino , shops and deep sea fishing all within walking distance.

This is such a beautiful resort in the heart of Oranjestad. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops and the private flamingo island cannot be beat!!
