Wilderness lodge is a pretty unique hotel as part of DisneyWorld. Stepping into the lobby is like stepping into a grand National Park lodge, the pace slows, and you will immediately feel more relaxed from the hustle of being in the theme parks. The hotel and landscaping are intertwined with a stream flowing from within the hotel lobby to outside, over waterfalls and seemingly into the pool.
There are a selection of restaurants with quick service, character dining, all-you-can-eat BBQ and a lakeside bar and grill with one of the best burgers in WDW.
If you happen to visit between mid November and early January, then the resort becomes the most magical holiday resort at WDW. The lobby is decorated with the most amazing Xmas tree you will ever see. Everywhere is decorated with holiday garlands, even the Grinch would be forced into the holiday mood.
