We exchanged at this resort last April 2006,
and I can say that I was somewhat
disappointed.
The plumbing fixtures in the kitchen and
bathroom are in dire need of replacement.
The appliances are also antiques and need to
be replaced. There is no dishwasher and a
tiny little sink. The furnishings are also tired
looking and old.
The master bedroom was a good size and the
bed was comfortable. Linens were clean. The
carpets were filthy. I walked across the LR
carpet with my white socks once and they
were absolutely black. The sofa also needed
shampooing. We covered the sofa with a
sheet prior to sitting on it.
The faucet leaked and the telephone was not
working properly when we checked in. We
reported both, however, upon checking out
two weeks later, the faucet and the
telephone had not been repaired.
PLUSES:
The resort is in a fantastic location. The resort
is on the boardwalk, so you have something
to do in the evenings without having to drive
anywhere. Great location for older kids, as
there are plenty of recreational things for
them to do (i.e. rentals, arcade).
I would not return to this resort again. If you
prefer this area, I would suggest that you
stay at the Hollywood Beach Tower next
door. It's a smaller resort, but much, much
cleaner and the staff are much friendlier.
