One of the first timeshares in the area. Old school Florida resort. The location to the beach and the broad walk couldn't be better. having access to the beach and the pool are great options. Loved using the gas grills on site for poolside BBQ. Staff is the nicest around. They will do anything they possibly can to make your stay enjoyable, just ask. This is truly a hidden gem!

I love this place, love the staff, love the area. Best kept secret and I shouldn't be writing this because I want it to stay a secret, but this place deserves this rating. Joe

This place is very charming. It's like old Florida preserved. I am a native Miamian and I just can't believe the find that this resort is in today's high rise condo market. I bought a 2 bedroom unit this year and used it for the first time and the sand is literally right outside the front door. The staff is very friendly, parking is very convenient, the beach is awesome, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas and a pretty deserted strip of beach in the summer. I intend to stay there every year. Sorry but I won't be exchanging this jewel any time soon. If you are lucky enough to stay here you'll understand why it's a special place in the sun.

8/5/05 Just got back from my week at the resort and it was just great except that the city of Hollywood was replenishing the sand on the last day of my visit so they had the beach closed and the sand stirred up on the shore as they were piping in sand from deeper waters which seemed to be stirring the sealife so much that we saw sharks and manta rays real close to the shore. We caught a 2-1/2 foot fish from the shore which we barbecued. Other than that it's still a great place to vacation.

7/24/2007 - Just came back from another great week here and have reserved 2 more weeks thru RCI. Looking forward to using Redweeks exchange also to pick up a few weeks here as soon as I figure out their new exchange system. It's almost like my own personal beach place. Wirless internet is now available and works best by the pool. Now I can bring my laptop. Life is good.

9/5/2008 Update on my latest visit. Well it seems there may have been a change in management. The staff is new and not as attentive as in the past. I miss the lady who used to clean but they did hire a nice lady to replace her. The guy who is the handyman though is a bit lazy. The pool was cold and I asked him to put on the heater and they told me they would around 10am and still by 4pm they had not turned on the heater. Then he finally told me that the manager told him they didn't want to spend the money on the heater. Now I am an owner of 2 weeks here and making a request you'd think the least they could do was spend $10 for heat for me to have one comfortable day in the pool. Also the pool was dirty this time around and the chemicals were off balance so I don't know if they are trying to do it themselves but they need to get a professional pool company to handle this. Also the unit I just purchased had such a filthy air conditioner that it barely ran properly. Now usually I love this place but I have noticed maintenance issues all over the place and the care and attention slipping. The barbecue had run out of gas so only one grill was working. The doors didn't quite fit right in the jams and needed adjusting, the TV didn't work in one of the rooms and the mattresses need replacing on the twin beds. So it seems that it's time for a revamp or at least to work on some of the deferred maintenance issues.

As an owner, we have just received a newsletter from the Resort where RCI has named them a "Resort of International Distinction". In order to achieve this the resort had to receive average scores of 4 or higher for a period of one year. The resort has been spruced up with a new paint job and landscaping.

The first time I came to Enchanted isle it was as a renter. I loved it so much, I became an owner. Christine, Lisa. Jason and Joel are friendly, knowledgeable and always available. A five star resort with five star staff and location. You will never find a better rental or buy in south florida. In the six years I have been coming down, I have not wanted to trade, or go to any other resort. I love it!!!

This is a small time share with lots of personality, but nothing fancy. The one bedroom was spacious and clean, having all we needed. The beach chairs and beach in front of the resort was fantastic. There are a lot of rules to ensure the be property stays clean and that it’s not noisy at night. The only negative was the “special events” they offered, which were quite underwhelming. Overall, we had a nice relaxing stay.

Beach needs replenishment, however, still plenty of sand for swimming and sunning. (Saw many lamposts down and sand all over the B'walk, but no real major damage.)-except loss of more sand. New BBQs.

2/15/04: RCI has awarded the RID reward. New paint/trim and brickblock walks have improvrd appearance.

This converted motel continues to need some work. The only few positives here are the proximity to the great beach, a short walk away, and a parking spot for free. It is clean and well maintained. This is a standard resort, has not yet earned a RID (Resort if Distnction) or Gold Crown Status from RCI, nor a 5 star from Interval International.

Good news, the city & county are planning for the (hopefully Broward county- or at least Hollywood) beach renovation project for the fall of 2003. There is plenty of sand currently, but this project should hewlp build up the beach front, and aid areas in need of sand replenishment.

A news article in the Sun Sentinal (Ft Lauderdale) suggests this area may be approved for a new high rise condo development. The Driftwood Resort (adjacent to the Enchanted Isle) will be raised if approved. Area residents are fighting this.
