Keauhou-Kona Surf and Racquet Club Reviews & Ratings

This place is really awesome. I stayed with my 3 kids for two weeks in August and there just wasn't enough time to do everything: huge pool, illuminated tennis courts on site. The unit was very big with full size everything - beds, fridge, dishwasher, etc. The grounds are quiet in the evening and offer spectacular ocean views and sunsets, yet up the hill there is a small shopping mall with everything you could want, from groceries to post office. It was a ten minute walk to one of the finest black sand snorkeling beaches in the world complete with restrooms and lifeguards! You can even rent your snorkeling gear on the beach for next to nothing. The bay is protected by a coral reef so there's no fear of sharks, but the turtles are there and you can swim along with them! A few hours away by car you can visit the active volcano. This is a real adventure. Royal Aloha has it all.

The resort is fine, but be sure to call the office of your arrival time. Be advised that check in starts at 3pm. Call the Manager at 808 322-9180 before 3pm and ask how to enter as it is a gated community known as Surf and Racquet Club with no sign of Royal Aloha Vacation Club. The manager is located in Unit #9-102. A car is a must and a market is closeby. Ask for directions as Kona area is about 6 miles to the north and parking is limited. Our reservation started May 17, 2010.

We just stayed and found the unit and grounds very well kept. We were surprised how large their 2 bedroon unit was. We had a limited view of ocean from our particular unit, while others have full views. Very well satisfied with everything.
