We were at the Westin Kaanapali for 2 weeks in late February 2024 and our
stay was awesome. Most resort services were up and running. Be mindful,
show respect to those affected by the fires, and walk lightly!

We visited in late March, 2024 and the Safeway, Times Supermarket and ABC
store in Lahaina as well as numerous restaurants (Dukes, Mala Ocean
Tavern, Kihie Caffe, Sergios Cantina, Leilani's on the Beach, & Hula
Grill), and the Old Lahaina Luau, Myths of Maui as well as others were
open. Leoda's Kitchen and Pie shop was open and is a MUST stop on your
way in as you drive thru the huge canopy/tunnel of trees. Load up on
their delicious assortment of pies (Key Lime and their chocolate pie are
our favorites). Please be respectful of the people who lived through that
devastating fire and may have lost friends and family! Whaler's village
is open and has many shops and restaurants. Most of the stores and
restaurants that are open were not touched by the fire. The beach, golf
course and boardwalk at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort area where we
stayed was beautiful.
