Love the location, super clean and comfortable, and the perfect relaxing spot for a week at the beach! Fishing at the pier, cute restaurants and shops within walking distance, and a beautiful beach! Love the views from the balcony, love to BBQ by the pool- just can't say enough about this gem!

Location, location, location. Walk on the beach to the sweet town (like turning back the clock) that is a joy to spend time in or join the many that snorkel or dive right in front of the resort. You can see the high rises in Fort Lauderdale & Pompano Beach but you're, luckily for me anyway, not a part of them. The Windjammer is well managed, comfortable & clean. There are 2 pools & free wi-fi. Rooms 208 & 308 have private ocean-facing balconies.

As an owner at this timeshare resort, I just returned from a 4 week stay (February 2011). I must say how pleased I was to meet the new General Manager, John Boutin (3rd generation family member to manage this resort). He is a ray of sunshine, with new ideas, very positive and takes a big interest in the community of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. John has a great friendly staff in place who are willing to share their recommendations and help make your stay wonderful at the Windjammer. John tells us, that by next season he will have new comfortable sitting furniture completed in all of the suites, most all now have new flat screened TV's. The resort was recently painted and looked terrific. The rooms are cleaned as in the past, 6 days a week and cannot be beat for cleanliness. As I have stated in a previous review a few years back, this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel accommodation, rooms are on the cozy side and NOT a place to party. However, if you want one of the finest locations on earth, you can use the local 2 pools or just step right on to the ocean, this is the place to be, with a short walk to the town square and excellent dining in the immediate area. Perhaps I sound biased being an owner, but trust me, I am a very fussy owner, and I am very excited about the future direction this resort is heading in. Thanks to all of the staff for one of the best vacations we have enjoyed in years. Looking forward to seeing you all next year. Danny & Darlene

We go down to Lauderdal-by-the Sea for weeks 8 & 9 when the the weather is almost perfect every year. Not too hot but always pleasant. Windjammer and the time shares around Lauderdale-by-the-Sea are part of a bygone era, 'OLD FLORIDA'. No high rises here. More relaxed and yet still plenty to do. The resort is always clean and well maintained. It's not brand new but you won't be disapponted. Everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. Bob & Karen
