Driftwood Beach Club Reviews & Ratings

Although an older facility, Driftwood Beach Club is well maintained and the staff is helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and immediately responsive to any concerns. The resort hosts a social get together on Monday morning and a wine and cheese social on Wednesday afternoon. Daily housekeeping is provided (trash removal and unit towel exchange) with a little more comprehensive clean ing at least once per week.

Most of the units are one bedroom, and the available studios are small but efficiently arranged with a fold-in murphy bed. The one bedroom units are sufficient for 2-4 people, but the location of the bathroom requires a trip through the one bedroom. Not a problem for children or for adults who don't mind a little invasion of their privacy. There are a limited number of two bedroom units.

We have exchanged there three times in January and look forward to returning next year to see many of the same families who return because of their week ownerships. On Friday and Saturday evenings, nearby restaurants close down part of the street and sponsor a variety of bands. The atmosphere of the resort and of Lauderdale by the Sea is charming and totally different from the more urban appeal of Lauderdale and Miami. The heated pool (nice and warm) and deck area in the center of the resort is a social hub, and the beach is just a short walk across a not too busy street and through two nice shuffleboard courts.

This is a quiet small resort with all the amenities you need for a memorable holiday. The staff are friendly, and the grounds and units are clean. Great place for families of all ages and especially with young children since the pool and lounging area are right outside the units.

The units have been fully renovated with new everything. Literally across the street from the beach around the corner from five restaurants. And on weekends they have a live band and block party literally 500 feet from the resort.
