We have stayed at Ponds of Foxhollow on many occasions and we love the smallness of the resort. The indoor pool temp is usually perfect, and the indoor hot tub is great. The grounds showcase the beauty of the region. While it may feel secluded, it is, in fact, just a short drive to area attractions. We especially love the towns of Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Williamstown. The Tanglewood Music Festival is a highlight of the summer season, as are many other area arts attractions.

For Arts and Culture, there is nothing like the Berkshires! And in Lenox, we love the Ponds at Foxhollow. It's well located, only a mile or so from Tanglewood, in the summer its a short hop to Jacob's Pillow and in the winter, a half hour to Jiminy peak! On a rainy day, we go to the Clark! The unit we stayed in is a specious suite, but

Spacious, comfortable unit with a view overlooking a canoe/rowboat a meandering pond with islands and granite bridges on this large property at one time owned by Mrs. Albert Vanderbilt. Close to Tanglewood, theaters, and recreational opportunities. Indoor and outdoor pools, nice tennis court, and good staff.

I was vacationing in the area June 2007 and decided to check out the units at "The Ponds".

The resort is a small resort and the units are in a nice, secluded area and off the main-drag so they should be very quiet. There is a pool and a club house.

The buildings which hold multiple units are based in a "U" shape and face the same central area composed of little canals (Florida style) which are a nice touch. The pool area and club house is off to the side.

The units are three-story units done in a contemporary style. All of the 1-Bedroom units are on the ground floor. The 2-Bedroom units are two-story units utilizing the 2nd and 3rd floors of each building, above the 1-BR. The 2- BR units are NOT lock-out units.

The ground floor units (1-BR) tended to be a little dark depending on which way they faced. The upper units had skylights in the LR which brightened up the units a lot.

The kitchen was a galley style with a counter that opened to the LR.

If I remember correctly, in the 2-BR, one BR and Bath was on the first floor and another Bed/Bath on the top floor.

The furnishings of the bedrooms and baths are quite up to date but I found the furnishings in the Livingroom/Kitchen to be reminiscent of a 1970s contemporary. The furnishings were in good condition, just a style that I wasn't expecting.

The ground floor unit (1-BR) that I saw did have a musty smell, probably due to its being built on a slab. Perhaps it hadn't been used lately. I didn't notice the same smell in the 2- BR unit above it.

I would definitely stay at this resort, but would probably try for a 2-BR since the unit is bigger and brighter.

I'm rating this a 4-Star based on appearances only.

We've been going to the Ponds at Foxhollow for years as my parents purchased a timeshare there when I was a young child. The units are very comfortable, especially the upstairs units as they are two floors and spacious. The units are meticulously clean with berber carpeting and ceramic tile, a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. They are contemporary in feel and have skylights, vaulted ceilings and lots of windows. Each unit has a cute little patio or deck with a view of the interlocking lakes that go all around the property - it is very pretty. There are ducks & geese for the kids to feed along with canoe rentals to go through the lakes.

The clubhouse is very nice - the indoor pool area has a jacuzzi and sauna. The exercise room is quite small but they have some decent equipment. They also have a beautiful library with a grand stone fireplace - a very comfortable place to curl up with a book on your vacation! They have an office area with computers and internet access so you can check your email while you're away. They also offer video rentals right there in the clubhouse which is convenient, and they also loan out board games and puzzles to keep the kids occupied.

The town of Lee is very close by (5-10 min) and has several nice restaurants, little specialty shops, and an outlet mall with over 50 stores. Then there are more outlet stores in Lenox, a little further away but still close by (15-20 min). There is also a spa just across the lake (http://www.cranwell.com/) with a better gym, golf, and great day spa packages. And there is also another resort close by that offers horseback riding.

I think Ponds at Foxhollow is a great resort in a very convenient location. It's scenic and there are things close by that are fun for the whole family to enjoy.

We own week 40 unit V-18. The resort is very well maintained, very comfortable and ideally located for touring the entire Bershire area. The two bedroom units offer complete privacy for couples traveling together, as there is an upstairs bedroom, bath and large sitting area. The village of Lenox is a visual feast during fall foliage, as are the grounds at the Ponds. I rate this resort a four star.
