Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point Reviews & Ratings

Beautiful, roomy, well decorated. Located in a quiet area on the bay and on a top rated golf course. Though not on the beach, it is not far from it. Marriott quality and hospitality plus Panama City is a premier travel destination for fun in the sun.

We were here in late April, visiting our son in dive school. 360 degree view of the bay, marsh, golf course. The units are spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The beds are comfortable and soft. The resort is clean and very well maintained. The staff is helpful and hard working. The pool and pool area are pretty, clean and have lots of games to keep you busy if you need a break from swimming. It was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. We would highly recommend, and are very likely to come here again if we are in the area.

For those who find it a little dated, I would say that if you are accustomed to having everything brand new, and if you prefer a contemporary setting, this might not be your cup of tea. But, if you are a fan of the Hilton Head, Jekyll Island feeling where everything is nice, but not necessarily built last week, this should suit you very well.

Top notch resort! Very pretty and tastefully done. Not on the beach, but on the bay. It is a drive to get to the beach. Located in a gated community of houses, townhomes, and the Marriott Hotel. Away from all the hussle of downtown Panama City.

Close to Disney World and other theme parks in Florida. Great location if you want to attend MLB Spring Training.

This is a great Marriott Resort for Families. The pool area is awesome and they generally have lots of activities planned for kids. It is convenient to a lot of the favorite restaurants in Panama City Beach. It is also close to grocery stores for stocking up on supplies while you are there. The staff is always very helpful and friendly.

We have been owners at this resort since it opened! We brought our kids here so many times and built a lot of great memories. We love the location because we were close to everything but not out on the main strip in Panama City Beach. It is a lot quieter. We love the Bay Point Community that it is located in. It's fun to walk around the marina or rent a boat for the day. We love Legends Edge!

Always my favorite place to stay in PCB. Quiet area but close to everything. Great golfing resort.

Perfect place to spend Labor Day week with the family. Tons of great restaurants, shops & golf courses in the area.

Legends Edge is one of my favorite spots. What a pleasant surprise this location was to me on our first visit a few years ago. I had been to PCB many, many times and not known about this area.

As Marriotts go, this is a small resort, which works well for us. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Grounds are immaculate. The Marriott Bay Point is just next door and it's fabulous. If you stay at Legends Edge you will have access to amenities at the Bay Point hotel.

This is a unique location for nature lovers with the birds and marshland!! Enjoy!! We certainly have!

We had a great time in May; weather was perfect. Marriott personnel were very helpful in planning our activities; the wine/cheese get together on Wed PM was nice. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was very nice; There is also a board walk (next to the Marriott Hotel) going out to a Tiki hut that has live music, drinks and food. The beaches at St Andrews State Park (entry $5 per carload) were very nice and less crowded than the Panama City Beaches. All the Beaches are an easy drive (approx 4-10 miles), depending where you go); we especially liked the beach area by Spinakker's Restaurant where there is ample parking, easy access, and good food. Another great restaurant was Uncle Ernies. Also we did drive west to Seaside for part of a day (20-30 miles) to see the quaint pastel houses; the Truman Story was filmed here. The deep-fried pickles were very good near the town center. All in all it was great stay, and we would certainly go back again. I am not an owner at Legends but traded for this stay.

We had a fantastic vacation at Marriott's Legend's Edge this past summer! Knowing that Legends Edge was not being on the beach, and having been to several Marriott timeshares that were, my expectations were not all that high. But boy were we pleasantly surprised! A friendly, competent receptionist welcomed us as we arrived. We had pre-ordered a golf cart for the week, and it too was there and waiting for us.

We were greeted with a corner room on the fifth floor of the Azalea building, and the views from the balcony were spectacular - water everywhere, golf course, swimming pools. WOW! It was nice to go out in the morning, drink coffee, and watch the boats head out for the day. Since the overall resort is large, especially getting over to the Marriott Hotel, ordering that golf cart may have been the best thing we did. It made our getting around the resort and spa a piece of cake.

MLE is a purpose built, timeshare project, and consequently, there are no full service amenities, but guests have full usage of the amenities of the nearby Bay Point Marriott - spa, dining, shopping, etc.. Legends Edge is a clean resort that has been very well maintained. The location of the resort is relatively close to everything - shopping, water parks, restaurants, beach etc.. We had some great nights on the town - from movies to Margaritaville.

The beaches in Panama City Beach are as nice as you'll find anywhere (actually they are nicer than you'll find anywhere). If you like beaching it, golfing, fishing, or boating, you'll love Marriott's Legends Edge. We did and plan on being back very soon.

The location had a very nice setting with bay views. The units were spacious with two big bedrooms both with king beds (very comfortable) and private baths. We had an end unit which overlooked the golf course and bay which gave us a little more privacy on our balcony--other units all overlooked the pool. The signage outside when you come into the Marriott property was not well marked. There is also a Marriott hotel which we went to first. To get to the timeshare units, you have to go through a gate which you will need a code. If we didn't stop at hotel, we wouldn't have known this. Make sure you get this information before you come. It was a very nice time of year to be here--low 60 to high 60 temps. My only complaint about the unit was the tile kitchen floor was a little dirty.

This is a beautiful resort! Everything was lovely. We stayed for a few days here with our parents. It is not on the beach, but the pool, hot tubs, exercise room, and unit were all very nice, uncrowded, well taken care of...

Stayed here last week. It had very nice, modern, spacious rooms, the staff were great. Somethings here were quirky though. They close the pool at 7, but leave the Hot Tub open until 10, why close the pool so early? They have a basketball hoop setup up right next to our Villa, so all day, and into the night we would here the thump, thump of the basketball. There are no restaurants or bar on the property. It was also a challenge to find the place, there are numerus gates to the area, and it was very confusing, not much signage to direct you to the lobby for check in. Overall not for us.
