San Clemente is a lovely town. The units are
within two minutes of the beach and have
views of the ocean. The unit itself, the Bahia
was a great disappointment. It was dark, and
musty. Downstairs furnishings were stained
and needed to be replaced. The sink over the
kitchen window was treated in a way that did
not allow you to see out and did not allow
light in. The blinds covering the window were
gritty. I realized later that the view from the
window had been blocked to hide the
garbage cans located outside that window.
One kitchen drawer had simply been nailed
shut. There was no fan in the downstairs
bathroom so one can imagine how pleasant
that was. The general feeling of the unit was
old, old, old. Even the outside was not kept
up. The area is beautiful with homes and
condos that have been updated. These units
stand out like a sore thumb with cracks and
stains on the stucco. Friends arriving for the
week-end commented that if this was an
example of timesharing they would never be
interested in buying.
On the other hand, the upstairs was much
more pleasant. The bedrooms and bath were
clean and comfortable.
