The area is beautiful, resort sits on a mountainside golf
course within walking distance of the Columbia River.
The unit is well equipped and comfortable except the
bed, which resulted in little sleep and sore bodies in
the morning. The resort is well maintained and clean.
The only other negative comment, besides the bed, is
that the sprinkler right outside our bedroom went off at
2 am each day. Because of air in the pipes the
sprinklers sounded like small explosions going off, thus
even less sleep. The highlights of the trip was a drift
boat fly fishing trip down the St. Mary's River, Fort
Steele, the golf courses, Panorama and the Bavarian
restaurants. We didn't use the recreation center but it
looked nice. We did check out the Fairmont Hot Springs
up the hill but it was to crowded, so we settled for an
excellent meal at their Italian restaurant. Beware of
the mosquitoes they are everywhere, so bring
protection or you will be fighting them constantly.
Also, don't sign up for the fly fishing lesson, it cost $20.
and you don't learn a thing. The resort is a 4 star but
the area is a 5 star.
