Good restaurant and food options at resort if you go all inclusive, otherwise several great restaurants that the Concierge can recommend and book. I recommend using the onsite Caracol Travel to book your airport transportation.

JUNE 10th, 2017 Lisa Campbell, After arriving home and looking back at your text, and reflecting on the two conversations I had with you. One of them with my wife being part of. I want to clarify many misrepresentations that you told us.
I specifically told you that we were looking to stay at a relaxing resort where we could hang out enjoy some piece and quite and relax for the week.
Considering that you have owned multiple time share weeks at the Omni Cancun for ALL the years you have stated and knowing you go every year multiple times and you had just come back from the Omni within the last few months. It is obvious that you know the Resorts surroundings and room accommodations very, very well.
You must know that the rooms are extremely noisy. With the noise coming from both adjacent rooms, upstairs rooms, outside balconies, how could you not be aware?!! Knowing that all the floors are marble and anytime anyone from any adjacent room or overhead room moves a piece of furniture, the sound is deafening, as if it’s in your room. This is NOT a relaxing place!
Your listing states “SMOKING ALLOWED!” I specifically asked you about this. I said if there is smoking allowed, I am not interested in renting your unit. It concerned me that you listed your property with this feature, but you guaranteed myself and my wife, that it was not allowed. I shared with you the health issues due to my daughter’s asthmatic condition. Quite the contradiction! You call this a 6 STAR RESORT. More like a MINUS 6 STAR RESORT. REALLY!!!
You state that the ALL INCLUSIVE is Optional not MADATORY. You also told us that we could use it one, two or as many days as we want. You said that we were not required to have to purchase for ALL, if we did not want to! EVERYONE in the group, all three of us must purchase the all inclusive. The OMNI will not allow one person to purchase the all inclusive while the others do not participate. If you don’t purchase consecutive days the fee is an additional $40 more. You stated if we choose not to purchase the ALL INCULSIVE, we could order drinks food, anything we wanted at the resort and charge it to the room or pay for it at the time.
You can’t even get a bottle of water let alone a drink or a meal at the OMNI Resort unless you have an all inclusive band on your wrist! They will not take any type of payment. Only ALL INCLUSIVE!!!
You state that ALL the condos have been recently newly renovated.
I specifically asked you this question and told you that I did not want to stay in a old run down Resort.
The first room that the representative of the Omni, Ozzie, showed us was not renovated, did not have a balcony let alone a window that you could open. The glass had so much condensation between the glass panes that you couldn’t see out let alone the Ocean. The second room was not renovated, and it had a pool view with no privacy! No Ocean View. The Last room that was available was a combination of the first two. It did have a balcony if you wanted to sit on it and smell other peoples smoke from the room above. Noise was coming from all surrounding rooms, including the floor above. The master bedroom had an end table in the entry walkway to the room because it didn’t fit against the bed. This required the end table to be turned inward against the bed, so the door could be opened. I asked about having the table moved but was told that in needed to be there for the phone. This was the only way to open the door and go into the room. Or you could go out to the hall to enter this room through a separate hall door. REALLY!!! You mentioned that “Oscar” his name is Ozzie, offered us everything possible, and we did not want anything! The last time I talked to Ozzie was after spending three hours with him on Saturday and he showed us the last and final room option. He stated that there was nothing else to show or offer us! So I guess at that time there wasn’t ANYTHING I wanted since there was nothing else to offer us.
You say they offered us many other options. The only options we were offered are the ones mentioned. NOTHING else!
You state, “I’m sure you read many reviews on the Omni?” Yes, I did, and I questioned you about some of those reviews. Is there smoking allowed? Is this a relaxing, Quite Resort? Is this resort old and dated? Have all the rooms been renovated? ALL LIES!!! You say it’s not your FAULT that we were not happy! YES IT IS YOUR FAULT! If you would have been, HONEST, TRUTHFUL, STRAIGHT FORWARD, and UPFRONT about the accommodations, we would not have rented from you. I could of made a informed decision and passed on this resort, OMNI CANCUN.
The sad thing is I was offered another resort option while our check was in the mail to you! But as I discussed with my wife at the time, I said “Lisa seems to be a straight forward person. Lets keep our commitment it’s the right thing to do.“ I should have canceled the check after all I know about YOU! You state that you are a CHRISTIAN and claim to be HONEST. Well, I am a CHRISTIAN too! I would never be dishonest and misleading to anyone just to make a few dollars to pay for your week! You could of actually done that, but you didn’t. As my wife and I conversed to you about our concerns, a Honest Christian would have been truthful, upfront with us, and shared all the truths about this resort, especially since you knew that we had concerns and questions, and that this was to be a very special trip for our daughters birthday. With all the years you have been an owner at this resort. For all the weeks you have stayed at this resort. You could have told us of the truth so we could of made an informed decision to use your week or not!
It seems that your only concern was to, say and do what ever was needed, so you could get your $1500.00, WHICH YOU DID!!! You say that your week is gone and you had to pay for it. NO I PAYED FOR IT!!!! NOT YOU!!!
You seem to be so worried about your $1500.00 but obviously could care less about the $5000.00 that we spent for nothing!!! You didn’t even have the decency to offer half our money back knowing what our experience was! While the OMNI is renting the room for the remainder of the 6 days. When we stayed for less than 24 hours.
With your greed, your lying, your deceitfulness and your misleading information about your listing, I am going to ask one last time for a full refund in the amount of $1500.00.

One can purchase an all-inclusive plan. If you call the Omni, they will give you "Carocol's #" - you can make affordable arrangements for transportation to and fro the airport.

Never did we expect this hotel to be this beautiful, the staff so friendly and the accommodations so inviting. This resort is kept extremely clean from the windows to the grounds. The staff is very friendly, the location is amazing and the food and drinks are delicious! If you are going to Cancun, look no further, we cannot wait to return.

We stayed in a deluxe room with a beautiful room of the ocean and the pools...sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking over the water. The food was consistently good and the service was always good. We were unsure if we would like Cancun as much as Aruba where we have stayed several times but we liked it just as much. So many great restaurants great shopping, safe bus transport if you stay in the hotel zone or go to downtown during the day. We would absolutlely stay with the Omni again!

Read more »Very nice hotel with great pools, FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE staff. I like the beach in this part of Cancun because we like playing in the waves, which cannot be done at hotels on the sheltered side. We were somewhat disappointed in the beach size which is about 1/4 what it used to be pre Hurricane Wilma. The staff at Aqua World outside by the pool made us feel very welcome especially Alex and Enrique were great! The buffet is good, DiVincys the on site fine Restaurant is great and the PinaCollada beach restaurant is a nice place for breakfast and lunch. Would highly recommend this Hotel. WARNING if you book tours don't do it online, you will spend days just trying to track them down. Best advice don't book online tours, I got this from the staff at the hotel. The only thing that I can say negative about this place is that the beaches are barely a quarter size they were pre hurrican Wilma.

Read more »Having just spent two great weeks in Cancun and Merida, my wife and I arrived at the Cancun airport ready to head home to the States, only to be told by Alaska Airlines that our flight was overbooked and would we be willing to be bumped for another flight out the next evening. The airline set us up at the Omni hotel and Villas in a hotel room for the evening. The stay was among one of the best experiences of our vacation. This even though one week previously we had stayed in Cancun at the highly rated Royal Sands. The Omni hotel is top class with well appointed and tastily decorated rooms. Our room overlooked the lagoon and had a very ample balcony. Staff was extremely friendly and very professional. Unique to resorts in Cancun Island, the Omni sits on a hill that the architects and planners have used effectively in laying out the resort with pools cascading down to the beach. This provides for changing and memorable vistas from different parts of the complex. All the pools were well maintained and had unique features like waterfalls and built-in loungers in the pools. The resort is oriented to be able to catch beautiful sunrises from the ocean horizon (which we were lucky to see) and the sunsets over the lagoon.
The airline also covered our dinner and breakfast. We were able to have the all inclusive dinner buffet which had an Italian theme that evening. The food was delicious, of good quality, varied and plentiful. Had drinks at the DaVinci restaurant which was quite elegant and romantic with a harp player with views of the ocean and coastline. After catching the sunrise the next morning we had breakfast at La Paloma restaurant, a Palapa (thash) pavilion on the beach. From any point in the restaurant one has a beautiful panoramic ocean view. Staff at La Paloma was very attentive and again the food was delicious, fresh varied and plentiful. It is very apparent that the resort is well maintained by the large numbers of maintenance staff overseeing every detail. And it is very apparent that the staff is very content as they go about their assignments. My wife insisted that we return to the Omni on our next trip to Cancun. I concurred.

Her portrayal of the unit she rented from me is totally false. She received the exact unit she requested and paid for. However, when she returned from Cancun, she went into an email bashing tyrade about not getting a "villa". Villas are more expensive than the suites and that was explained to her on several different occasions prior to her renting the unit. She was never told the unit was a villa. That is the TRUTH.
Also, her complaints about the quality of the suite will bring laughter from anyone who has ever stayed at the Omni. The entire wing where the suites are located is as clean as any of the best hospitals here in the US. The Omni would close its doors before it would let guests stay in anything even remotely close to what she made up.
This is nothing more than sour grapes from someone who is obviously quite at home in the feeling of entitlement.
I promise great service to anyone who rents from me and have rented this suite to many, many satisfied travelers thanking me for the opportunity and have their email messages back from them after their trip to prove it.
Here are just a few I've received from people after they've rented this suite:

Hi Greg, I returned from Cancun last week and wanted to thank you for the great time. The condo was awesome. We had a great view of the Caribbean sea and the hotel pools. I will definitely recommend you to my friends. Thanks again. John.

HEY GREG, JUST A FEW LINES TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE HAD A GREAT TIME AFTER WE GOT THRU THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION CINDY ON OUR FIRST TWO DAYS. THE REST OF THE WEEK WAS WONDERFUL. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL AND THE RESORT WAS GREAT AND WE WOULD RETURN IN A HEARTBEAT. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR HELPFUL INFORMATION AND HOPE TO DO BUSINESS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. BARBARA

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the rental. The staff was terrific and the place is lovely. We rented a car for the whole trip and enjoyed our trips around exploring beaches, etc. Your guide was very useful and I appreciate the opportunity you gave us.

Hi Greg Just wanted to let you know we are back and had a wonderful time in Cancun. The Omni was fabulous and they treated us very well. Thank you for the use of your week. Can't wait to go back. When we got back home it was 16 degrees!

Like the title says, words cannot describe the week that we had in Mexico. I would once again like to thank you for getting us set up at the Omni. The place was amazing, it definately goes down as one of the best weeks of our lives. And we owe much of that to the place that we stayed at. After being in the town for a week, I don't think that there would be any other place that I would stay. The service was great and the people were nice, all in all one of the greatest experiences of my and my friends lives.
Thank you Andy

Read more »The hotel was fine, the room we stayed in -- rented by Greg Smith was not at all what he said it would be, it was a glorified hotel room with a refrigerator stuck in it, not the "villa" he lead us to believe. Very disappointed in what it looked like, the shower drain let out a horendous stench, the power continued to go out from a blown breaker, it seemed there was one problem after another... and when we contacted Greg to talk to him about what a "lemon" he had rented us... he did NOT return our calls, very unfortunate, very poor business...I would stay clear of this rental!

Read more »Excellent resort. The Pool was outstanding... Built in lounge chairs in pool made relaxing poolside a pleasure. The kids enjoyed water volleyball. Breakfast down at the ocean restaurant was very nice. Excellent location for families, close enough to everything but far enough away from the college party scene. Would go back in a minute.
When you get off the airplane, watch out for the timeshare sales people. We didn't have any problems with them. Just ignore them and go directly outside the terminal to your transportation.
