The resort has undergone renovations since the last post. We have had a timeshare there since 1992 and have been very satisfied. The views certainly can't be beat!

some of the units are a bit older but in xlnt shape,all with a/c, patios overlooking the ocean, and there are newer 2 bdrm units nearer the beach and tennis courts. the resort has every amenity one would want plus the daily maid service and towel change is a bonus.nightly there's a free show and activities at the spacious club/bar with dancing. during the day there are staff directed activities in the pool(volleyball etc.). Located on playa(beach) hermosa and bahia(bay of) papagayo directly across from the spectacular Four Seasons Papagayo Resort . daily escorted jungle hikes and other activities are free at the resort. The bar is open air and ocean view w happy hour and the restaurant serves b/l/d ...xlnt fresh seafood etc and reasonably priced.there is a full service spa with v. reasonable prices. the resort is gated and provides shuttle service constantly down to the beach & up the hill to the villlas where you get spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets.rent a small car at the new int'l airport in Liberia to access all the great eco-adventures nearby...we did zip lines, horse riding, nat'l parks, beach towns, restaurants,surfing,skin diving, etc. walk to xlnt and reasonably priced restaurants nearby or dine at the resort's reataurant.

This resort is very old and in need of refurbishing. Everything is old and worn. The rooms are as clean.

Older but clean nice resort overlooking the bay at Playa Hermosa. Were there in Nov. '04. Open air restaurant is good and fairly priced. Pools are warm. One infinity pool overlooks the bay. Housekeeping is daily. All help are very nice.

Resort is on a hill but frequent jitney circulates if you do not want to walk. Good access to beach and walk to great nearby restaurants.

See Maynor (guide) at the beach for friendly guide trips. Fly into Liberia aeropuerto if you do not want to see crowded San Jose (capitol).
