This is a traditional Mexican-style resort, not a North American style high rise. Formerly a coconut plantation, the expansive grounds have 7 pools and a small poolside restaurant. My family enjoyed it for over 30 years.

Los Tules is a secure, safe, relaxing resort. Los Tules has 7 pools, 2 hot tubs, restaurant, beach frontage, a spa and beautifully landscaped grounds. The restaurant was good and the staff was pleasant and attentive. The condo we stayed in was the 3 bedroom, 3 bath which was a large condo with ample room for 10 people. Downside to the resort - no blow dryers or irons in room. All that is extra which you can get for a fee at the front desk. No wireless internet available in the rooms only at teh lobby for a fee. And window AC units in the bedrooms only which were noisy at night. I do not recommend renting a car - use either a taxi or public transportation. The bus is cheap and very easy to get around town. Exchange your money at a bank versus an exchange center you will get a better rate. Food store/mall right across the street which is convenient. Recommend "The BLue Shrimp Restaurant, Pipi's, Ah Caremba, Barcelona Tapas, The Agave Grill, and Brazil., just to name a few.

This is a lush, beautiful, peaceful escape from the ordinary. The resort is close to everything and yet serene and uncrowded. It has a true feel of Mexico. We loved it.

We have been going to Los Tules as a family for the past 10 years. It is a very quiet, safe location with wonderful beach access. We have four children and they just love it. One of the pools is located by the bar. There is a happy hour daily and the food is quite good. Staff are friendly. Great place to vacation. That is why we return every year including 2006.

We just returned from a week at Los Tules, our second visit in the past 10 months. The grounds are beautiful with hundreds of palm trees. We had a very spacious 3 bedroom condo a few feet from the waves. The complex has several pools and a nice restaurant as well as a small spa. I used the spa during my first visit. This time I opted for a massage on the beach for $27.00.

The location of LosTules is very good, right on the bus route, so it costs about 40cents to get to town. Across the street is a Gigante which is a very large grocery store in case you want to stock your kitchen in the condo.

We stayed at Los Tulles in Feb. 2003. My husband, myself, and two daughters(17 & 14) were looking for a week to be together. We have been to PV twice before and knew that we wanted to be close to downtown with its many restaurants, shops, and local Mexican charm. ****We are not all inclusive type of travelers.**** We prefer to explore an area and find our own favorite spots and really experience the culture no matter where we are. That is why we liked Los Tulles so much. If you like to go to a resort and not move this may not be the place for you. Although, you can just walk the beach to any of the resorts north of Los Tulles. We did this on many occasions. Our girls loved to to this! The unit we were in at Los Tulles had just reopened after the hurricane. Therefore, it was beautiful, clean, spacious, and well located on the ground floor near the restaurant and pool. The many gardens were still under repair. Saddly they were wiped out from the sea water. Even with the construction of the brick walkways underway near the ocean we still enjoyed the atmosphere at this truly "Mexican" resort.

I have just returned from Los Tules and would not go back. There was a kitchen, but I would not use it, it was very dirty and in need of updating. There were mice and ants everywhere. The staff was not freindly. The grounds were large and very nice with 7 swimming pools, small ones. There was only one small outdoor cafe on site that closed at 6:00, or 5:45, or 5:30...and no restauraunt. It took me three days to get an iron sent to my room and I had to pay an extra $1.50 per day to use it!

We stayed at Los Tules in May of 1998. We had a 3br, 3 bath unit on the ground floor near the Cafe Chapultepec pool. It was WONDERFUL to be so close to the beach and pool. Los Tules has Mexican style. The unit was very large and clean. The staff were helpful and did a good job. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The entire family--fourteen of us--have been going to Los Tules for thirteen years. We love it. The units are spacious, well-equipped; the grounds are beautiful and beautifully kept. There are seven different swimming pools-- one bound to fit your family's needs. Those for small children, some for big family fun, quiet retreats. The resort is well-located--near the airport and a short taxi ride to PV (where there are wonderful restaurants, art galleries, shops, etc.; the sculptures on the Promenade are fabulous). There's a huge grocery store across from Los Tules. Everything is very convenient.
