There is no resort fee. At registration, you will be asked to deposit
funds to cover your expenses. You will be given an armband. The resort is
not all inclusive, so you can choose where and what to eat. Restaurants
are scattered throughout the resort. Prices are in Mexican Pesos or US
Dollars, and we pay by peso. At the end of the week, all charges to your
account are deducted from your deposit after you review the list of
charges and the remaining money from your deposit is returned to you.

The $700 for a two bedroom unit is a vague fee charged by all Vidanta
resorts and they say its for phones, wifi, tips, transportation and air.
Seriously, it is still a good value even with this fee. I suspect, its
primary use is so they can leverage the fee and tell you they'll pay half
of it IF you take a timeshare tour. IF its worth your time for half paid,
great... if not, good too.
