Hotel NYX Cancun Reviews & Ratings

This is a very nice resort. They will do their best to get you into a sales pitch but just say "no" and they will leave you alone. The food is good and safe but not great. The pool is very nice and the units are between a 3.5 star and 4 star. If you get a one bedroom or larger, you should get an ocean view (very nice). What a great location, restaurants and even a shopping area are close. The staff does their best to please. Make sure you go to the market in town and if you rent a car, save yourself a nickel and rent it down the street (at mall) and not in the hotel. Free parking.

As an owner I've enjoyed great family vacations and have made many happy memories at this resort. It is samller, intimate, and relaxing. You are able to lay back while still being able to keep an eye on the children. It has one of the best beaches in Cancun. Unlike the rest of the beaches in the area, the waters are calm in this spot. This resort is close to everything. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is great and reasonably priced, plus there are many other wonderful restaurants to visit within walking distance. Can't wait to go back!

As owners but staying elsewhere this time, we were only allowed to sit in their lobby and the security guards watched us the whole time. Unlike the Avalon in Acapulco, as owners and staying elsewhere we hung out at the Avalon for free everyday, especially enjoying their free 'happy hour' drinks to owners. But not in Cancun, they wanted $125 /per day for us to use their facilities. We own a bunch of timeshare so trade them around and stay wherever we get the best deal thru RCI or Interval on last minute. Place looked nice though and had a great location. Loretta

Very nice staff.however they are so hung up on presentation it reeks.Good food and great beach.

Gorgeous - our patio was just steps from the beach. Great restaurants, great amenities - a wonderful way to spend Christmas 2002!
