Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes

We have a reservation for 7/28 thru 8/5 for a Ocean View. We are traveling with our 2 grandkids ages 3.5 & 1.5. Years old. Which building should we request to stay in. Is there a particular floor we normally like higher floors but just wanted to ask. Any other tips would be extremely helpful. Has anyone ever rented a crib and or baby equipment?

If you have ocean view you will be in the higher floors of either Pine or Maple. The lower floors are garden view. The Woodsy pool is in front of these buildings and is perfect for kids.

The end units have a view of the parking lot in the second bedroom>so be aware when you make your request. Though, the littles may not care about the view in their bedroom

Pine building, if you can, it has a shorter walk to the beach than the Maple building. Plus, the Woodsy pool is more kid friendly for wee ones. Avoid the top floor(15) because the balcony has no cover and it gets brutally hot in the sun. That makes your balcony unusable. Years ago, you could get a crib from the resort. Covid stopped that. Call the resort for recommendations. We are arriving the day before you leave. Hope we run into you. If this is your first time, this is a. wonderful place for families!! The best one for kids that we have stayed at. The activity center is filled with fun things for kids to do

Coming with our Granddaughter who is turning 16 and loves the water. We requested an ocean view close to the beach. This is a big celebration for her and since we have never been to this resort information and suggestions of what we can do as a family at the resort. Thanks

Thanks so much for your reply. I will definitely request the Pine Building. I guess that makes sense about the crib. We are super excited and are looking forward to a much needed vacation. Hopefully we will run into you 🏖. Thanks again and enjoy your vacation!
