Occidental Grand Xcaret Reviews & Ratings

Great place to stay and get easy walking access to the Xcaret Park. Rooms are great, very comfortable bed. Restaurants are very good, plenty of pools to choose from, nice beach area with calm waters.

Xcaret is a large property approximately 5 miles south of Playa del Carmen. Several three story buildings are nestled in the authentic jungle landscape (in contrast to most resorts which have cleared all the native trees). The property is great for walkers with original Mayan ruins and roaming monkeys and other small animals. Xcaret is an "above mid-level" all-inclusive resort. The rooms are spacious with daily maid service. The food is good at three main restaurants and four specialty restaurants. The liquor flows at five bars. There are two very large pools. The beach is a man-made cove with calm water good for children as well as adults. Its location adjacent to both Xcaret, the Mayan Eco Park and Xplor, high zip line park, is perfect for two days of activities in addition to time at the resort.
