Quiet resort along the Big Thompson River but only minutes from downtown Estes Park. The entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park is just another five miles beyond.

I have stayed at this resort only once and planned to stay again until family issues intervened. I believe that the beautiful quiet setting very close to the National Park is a gem.. We loved the road trips, hiking , and the fresh air. Reviewers loved the pool, hot tub, and gym. Free WiFi is available in the lobby.

June-September Estes Park experiences warm weather briefly from June to September. Highs climb above 70 degrees during this period, The crowds come to take advantage of the multitude of outdoor activities available, which run the gamut from hikes through Rocky Mountain National Park to fly-fishing in the Big Thompson Canyon. Between adventure days, visitors can take in sky-high views from the Estes Park Aerial Tramway or drive the Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuously paved road in the United States. Late September draws leaf peepers, who want to catch the region's stunning autumn colors before temperatures get too chilly. While daytime temperatures remain warm from June to September, lows still hover in the 40s and warm weather yields more precipitation, so pack multiple layers to remain comfortable.

The resort is located in one of the most beautiful natural settings. It is situated along Big Thompson River and provides excellent access to Rocky Mountain National Park, area activities and has splendid mountain views. We stayed here in early June 2011.

Our unit was a two bedroom and being an 18+ yr timeshare veteran, it was small by comparison to what we are accustomed to, the bedrooms being the smallest. The beds were not the most comfortable for sleeping either, not the usual plush quality Wyndham association is known for.

There were no closets in either of the bedrooms making the space problem even more uncomfortable, so suitcases had to sit out in the bedrooms. Since there were only four adults we managed. We did notice that the unit was not only smallish, but windows were small as well, so the unit was darker with poor natural light and not much view from inside. The trim and finish was lower grade, common lumber for trim and all painted surfaces were cheaply textured like Motel 6. The fireplace faux stone showed very poor workmanship, cheapening the unit presentation even more. There was no light over the sink in the dark kitchen and energy saving bulbs did not help the situation. Laminate countertops in kitchen and bathrooms did not speak luxury at all and the resort does not offer free wifi, you will have to pay to purchase I bridge Telkonet.

Outside the area views were great and the grounds were clean and very well maintained and the staff responded quickly to any call for assistance, first rate in every sense. Help was even given in a flat tire situation we found ourselves in by Mike of the grounds crew, without even being asked. As I said, the staff here was great.

Overall, the destination makes up for what the resort lacks and availability here is quite limited as Estes Park has very limited timeshare presence. I would rate this resort as a four star level.

My family stayed in a three bedroom at this resort the last week in July. The unit is large and well appointed, with everything we needed for six people. The pool and hot tubs were good and the Big Thompson River borders the property.

It is in a beatiful area and close to the Rocky Mountain National Park. There were few activities at the resort, but none were really necessary as the NP and the town of Estes Park offer many diversions.

My main disappointment was that the property did not have a very large natural area and our only private outdoor area overlooked the parking lot. Indeed, there is not much natural area at all.

The staff were friendly and helpful and there was little pressure for a presentation. I would have loved this resort if there had been more natural private space.

Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park, only a couple of miles from this resort, offer many activities. The national park is beautiful with hundreds of hiking trails for all levels and beautiful scenery. This is truly a great family destination.
