Roark Vacation Resort Reviews & Ratings

The last review was written in 2007. The hot tub and indoor pool have been inoperational for some time and are not well kept. Many of the units by the creek have been flooded and not fixed for at least a year and the units have not been updated for some time. I don't know how this resort got a 5 rating.

It is now the only resort in walking distance of the new River Walk where the Bass Pro Shop is located. It is a great resort and very well maintained. Quiet and family friendly.

I have been an owner at this resort for 15 years. It is located on Roark Creek which feeds directly into Taneycomo Lake which is known for it's trout fishing. The Resort itself is off the beaten path in town, but very convenient in location. The unit we own overlooks the creek with a balcony coming off the bedroom. There is a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, full kitchen (no oven) and queen bed in the bedroom. The units are kept up nicely and are clean. There is a large outdoor pool/hot tub and a nice indoor pool/hot tub/sauna, tanning beds, along with a fitness center. The staff is friendly and the manager goes out of her way to help with local information. They also have many on site activities including a mixer with finger foods & drink. The part of the creek that the resort is located on is deep enough to accomadate boats and not far from the actual lake. Pontoon boats are on site. We have always had a great time when we stayed there.
